Yes absolutely ,It has a better processor and future proof as well as native support for their apps, with my experience with dishTV they seem to drop their support of their products after a few years.Having said that the dish TV is probably more suitable for people who don't want to bother installing apps or have a smartphone and just want to plug and play.
I bought it and set it up, very impressed so far.
We have a 10yo TV and had a standard UHF freeview box before, so it's really good to have all the standard 'new' android tv features without having to shell out for a new TV.
It seems pretty future proof in terms of just installing google apps, we already had a Chromecast but seems easier to just install the Netflix/Neon/Disney+ streaming trinity on this (then the kids don't need to bug us for phones if they want something).
I'd recommend the new Chromecast over this. Dick Smith/Kogan sell them for a similar price.
