Im just a bit skeptical because I been to that Noel Leeming "Clearance" Center a few times. The time I remember the most I was after a screen that was the exact same price as in Noel Leeming Westgate. Ever since then Im not very convinced about discounts at Noel Leeming. Also, on the daily basis, I can find products at Noel Leeming that are way over priced, you can find the same product for 20/30% off at briscoes, pb or others, this literally happened last night, a product that is $289 is $199 at briscoes. Its like, they keep they prices sky high to just be able to "discount" them on special occasions.

    Thanks for your post still.
    Cheers.

I previously worked in Penrose and occasionally would walk down and browse the Clearance Center. Agreed, more often than not their sticker prices were full blown retail. One caveat is they were more open to a haggle, did manage to get a couple of good things by offering a cheeky bid. Managed to get an open box Asus PG279Q for $500 when full retail was $1100 at the time.

Yeah, I tried doing that, showed the lady the product price was the same as on the Web, wich is ridiculous for a clearance and she said she couldnt do anything about it, box was closed tho. They are not actually reducing prices, they are tricking people into thinking they are, and that is not cool.
Good on ya about the screen, that was a win.

        • How do they make money? If you're looking for a bargain then of course you're going to do your research, and their locations isn't exactly convenient for an impulse walk-in.

          • @Avantime: Of cours i do my research, what im saying is that these (profanity) are just deseiving ppl, tricking them into thinking they are cheap, if you just didnt check that "other" place where it was cheaper, you gonna buy from these liars.

            • @kevinh89: I mean a lot of these are big ticket items, like fridges, ovens, TVs etc. I would've at least Googled the prices before buying anything.

No doubt. The promise of $9 toasters is just a tool to get people in the store.

Yea I wouldn't bother. Last time I tried to get something cheaper I showed them a competitor's price (pb tech) and the manager laughed it off saying he can't be bothered to beat the price. Sylvia Park store.

    • Was it a toaster? :D

So unprofessional, whatever, off we go to PB.

      • Yet ppl will still buy from NL or Harvey Norman to avoid PBTech's bad online reputation on warranty matters.

        • PB tech will never ever answer the phone if you want to ring them and also, they add 3% (or whatever number it actually is) when paying with credit card. But their click and collect is really really fast, even on weekends.
I didnt know they to screw you over the warranty.

        • Ive never had any issues with pb warranties though.

    • similar thing happened, they stated pbtech and computer lounge are parallel importers.
