Is the hub component just the screen device, or is there a built in zigbee type central unit aspect, similar to the Philips hue base unit.
It's essentially the same thing as an Amazon Echo Show. It's just a Google Nest device that has a screen.
I have the hub version 1. Any point to upgrade to this, if that's what it is. Or go up a bit and go for the hub max?
Love my hub max. Sound is just so much better.
I have 2 normal hubs. They all seem the same unless you use the camera?
Buy the Home Max as I have both. The new Google nest hub is a bit of a disappointment doesn't really add any new features. The biggest disappointment, there's no camera so there's no video security monitoring or video duo calls. Apparently sound is improved slightly but still can't match the max. The new Google nest hub is a good buy at the moment but it's not really an upgrade if you've already got the old one.

Got stonewalled both via email and live chat.
Both support reps just said they can't honor a bundle deal if you don't add both items to the cart.
Pretty flawed system if you ask me.

Try calling if you can? I called and they accepted to send it but did not receive any notification though. Also do mention that there is no indication that it needs to be added.
