This Peperomia is something of a trendy plant at the moment, and I've seen this size go for up to $75, so $40 seems like a good deal to me.

Calathea Orbifolia has a similar leaf design but grows a lot bigger. $22.39 is a good price for it.

For mainstream popupar plants, I normally go to Bunnings as they are cheaper than Kings Plant Barn and Palmers. For example, the two plants you mentioned. Monstera Deliciosa 3.3L is only $18.98 at Bunnings and 12cm Peperomia (all types) are $19.87

  Bunnings don't sell the Watermelon/Argyreia variant as far as I know, and it definitely wouldn't be $20 if they did. People sell rooted cuttings of the thing for $10 on TradeMe, and larger ones go for closer to $100
