I've brought about 20 and always delivered to the same address. I just brought one today and two last week, sent me the voucher already in about 20 minutes.
I've order in four different occasions, same address and no issues at all.
After using and discarding Sims every month for cheap Data, It looks like Kogan red flagged my bank card though.
Luckily I got cards with 3 different banks and simply paid with a different one to get through.
Same diff just tried other address see if it arrives
Yeah. I have been using Koganmobile cheap offers for a few months but last month I was not able to activate any SIM card again when I input my bank details. It seemed that Kogan banded the same credit card number. I have requested a refund and sent heaps of emails but I never got replied…no more Koganmobile for me
Did you remove the credit card details from the old account? Wonder if it's related
@Dunno: I have removed the credit card details but I think they have also banned my name (in case of the same card holder even with a different card number)…the last step just didn’t go through, showing “payment was declined”.
@jiajiusi: How do you remove the credit card details? AFAICT there is no way other than replacing them with new details. (Well or emailing them, but that seems a good way to draw attention to you having lots of accounts which have used the new customer deal.)
I'm not sure if Kogan checks the card with a $1 authorisation hold like they do when you sign up. If they do then you can't even use fake details so it seems to partly defeat the purpose.
Same happened to me. I by passed it using a different card from a different bank of mine that has a slight variation of my name as I feel the banned was also laid on my name since one of my other cards with the same name didn't worked.
If you don't have any, I'm guessing you could try one of those gift cards/Prezzy cards maybe?
Try Teckiwi suggestion first though.
@G4mbito: Yeah. You are right! Our names have been banned by Koganmobile…I will try to use my partner’s card next time. What is the gift cards/Prezzy cards you mentioned? Thanks
@jiajiusi: They are prepaid debit cards you load them with an amount eg $20 they are really good if you want to use with kogan AliExpress ect. You can get them from paknsave and countdown.
@Wolfy: But ya gotta pay something like $7 setup fee, and for each card.
Wow I never knew how cheap Kogan is. Looks better than my current 2degrees monthly plan which is $90 a month for 2 ppl for 12gb data. This would be $70 on the large plan.
Any drawbacks to Kogan vs 2degrees? Maybe you can't hot-spot? Kogan doesn't appear to carryover unused data but that's not an issue for me.
No problem hotspoting. Last I heard Kogan's agreement with Vodafone still didn't cover 5G although I haven't paid much attention since my phone doesn't support 5G. At one stage the internet on my phone with mobile data would stop working and even turning off data or flight mode wouldn't fix it had to restart, but haven't had that for a while and no idea if it was Kogan or my phone. I was also having problems sending large videos on Hangouts which would make it stop sending even small photos but again haven't had the problem for a while.
You potentially could still have problems receiving SMS or phone calls from providers who haven't fixed their routing. Last year Mitre 10 Lincoln Road couldn't call my Kogan number. And earlier this year SMS from Burger King's marketing partner for their Breakers promotion weren't coming through but they do now. No idea about Mitre 10. This was a Kogan native number not a ported one. Note that although Kogan are a MVNO they could handle their own routing. No idea if they do.
I can confirm 5G is working on Kogan's SIMs.
Yes hotspot, use it to watch YouTube, skype and Netflix etc in my batch. I use the Sims along with my current provider on my dual sim Huawei phone and helps build up the rollover data.
I'm using warehouse mobile. It's cheap but kogan is cheaper overall
Looks like they also ban addresses.
made a TM order never showed up
