              @F armer: Usually the milk tea goes a lot faster for me than the pearls, so much so I stopped getting it because im tired of chewing on the things

      Yeah something got lost in translation :-) Also, cockroachs are a delicacy in some parts of the world. Nothing wrong with that.

  What the actual hell is going on with the price of these things? I've seen bubble tea in malls selling for 11.95 with schoolkids lined up ready to fork out the price of a bottle of wine for a cup of tea with 4cents of tapioca balls tossed in. This is why young people aren't ever gonna afford a decent house 🤣

    That's why there's so many new bubble tea shops opening everywhere. Huge profits can be made from bubble tea which is very cheap to make, they've only become trendy here in NZ with the western people after gongcha arrived. I was really into drinking them maybe 15 years ago because of the Taro flavour. But no longer buy them because of the cost and the tapioca pearls are shit for your digestive system.
