kogan mobile is generally a good service but I don't like that you can't reply to text messages from doctors, physios and other services that send confirmation reminders etc from automated services. It gets annoying fast when you have a lot of them. But otherwise for calling it's fine.
    • Hmmmm didn't know this was Kogan specific… So other networks CAN reply to the "2467"/"8062" type numbers….??

      • Have always been able to reply on 2 degrees and the kids on Vodaphone/skinny

        • didn't even know i was missing out on this till now, thanks Cheekiecheapo!

    • What do you do in this instance, when you need to reply to confirm?

      • I have to pick up the phone and call them, or go online and send them an email. in other words, I do it manually

    • Whats their response on this, have you raised the issue with support?

      • They just parroted the fact that only landline and mobile numbers are supported. Nothing more.

    • +1

Do these messages cost to reply? I always assumed it was because I had no actual credit on my account?

      • Maybe they only are free for NZ carriers and they are AU? So effectively are roaming and don't have an agreement with the services.

  • Has anyone got a spare voucher for Large plan? I’ll pay $165 for that. From Auckland
    Thanks

Have got the Large plan to split, can share code. Based in Blockhouse Bay.

      • Hi Sam,

        Is this plan still available?

        • Yes, I have bought and received the voucher codes, want to sell 1 if you are interested.

          • @[Deactivated]: Yeah I'm interested.

Can you send me a PM. I can't send you one as I don't believe you have them enabled.

            • @rushil01: PMed you

  • Hey guys,

I'm still looking to split a large plan with someone.

If anyone is interested please let me know!

    • Hey have you found someone to split with? I'd be willing to go halves on this if you're keen?

      • I have unfortunately.

  • Hi,

I have bought the Large plan and have received the voucher codes. Anyone interested to split, PM me?
    Based in Blockhouse Bay, Auckland.

    • I'm interested in a split

      • can you pm me…. change your profile setting to receive pm too…

  • I really want to get onto the bandwagon but the reception at my work is terrible. Is there anything i can do to boost the signal. My friends have vodafone sims and they get 2 bars with 3g. Anybreception booster in AliExpress that can help alleviate this problem?

    • Did you enter the kogan APN stuff correctly? Kogan is vodaphone so it is likely to be your settings or your phone itself, does your phone support all NZ bands?

    • Get a phone that supports B28 band for 4G (if you haven't got one) or force your phone to connect to 3G network only.

  • 3g network would be too slow. Does iphone xs have b28 band support?

    • There are 4 variants of the XS.

      A1920
      A2097
      A2098 (sold in Japan)
      A2100 (sold in China)

If you imported it there is a chance that it does not have all NZ bands. This is the case with Android phones too. A Google of iphone XS+ your model code from above should give you want bands your particular phone supports.

  • Can you pay for two and get four? or do you need to buy two lots separately?

  • I have a spare large plan code I'm looking to sell if anyone is interested.

    • I'm keen, based in Auckland

    • Is this still available? I'm based in Auckland and would be keen

Does anybody want to split the large deal. Iv bought it and got 2 voucher codes if anybody is interested. Pm me.

    • Sent PM - do you have PM switched on?

  • I've had multiple people pm me about large codes however these deals include a sim which I understand show between 1-2weeks after.I am interested in a plan split but would also like the sim as part of the deal.Hence why I'm putting out the call to Christchurch.Seems people don't like parting with sims since the waitomo fuel 😐

    • Edit:Have now split a large plan with another user and have a sim on the way also

  • Anyone know if the sim cards will be delivered before the codes expire. Due to the lockdown and the NZPost outbreak incident. Was shipped out 18th of August

    • The codes expire at the end of next month so you have plenty of time to wait for delivery or request new SIM's be sent if they don't arrive

    • +1

Mine was also shipped on the 18th August.
It has just arrived this morning (Christchurch), so pretty sure yours will arrive with plenty of time before expiry.

      • Perfect, thanks for letting me know. My last experience took more than 2 weeks so was just curious

  • +1

Just out of curiosity how are people arranging the split?

    • +1
      • First party buys the vouchers
      • Second party sends the first party $165
      • On receipt of the money the first party sends the second party the voucher.
      • Ah ok its a trust thing :)

        • +1

          Yep.

Typically you could do it in person however I did mine over the phone during the lockdown. Just check out the history of the user, how long they have been a member, etc, and make a judgement call.

  • Mmm ok very interested as this would be a massive saving.

Anyone have a large they are looking to offload? Or would be interested in purchasing one off me if I buy it?

    • +1

I have a large plan to sell for $165, if interested pm me

  • Has anyone ported their number over to Kogan yet? How long does it take?

    • It didn't work for me on the first try but I filled in the form to port my number again and it was ready within an hour

      • Thanks

    • Took mine a day to port. But kept old sim in phone until I received an email saying it was done (and old phone lost network connection)

  • Anyone else having issues purchasing this online using American Express?

Their website says "We accept payment via MasterCard, Visa or American Express cards" yet right now it clearly isn't…

Is anyone still after a split large code

  • I have a Large code that I was planning on giving to my brother, but he's too unlazy to cancel his pay monthly.

Selling at cost [$165]. PM me. Can check my profile history, or conduct the trade via my trademe [In the latter case, I'd pass on selling fees to you, however].

    • Tried PMing you but it looks like PMs aren't enabled for your account. I was originally looking to get a medium, but happy to go for a Large if yours is still available.
