  • Been trying to find the account fees, but they seem to be well hidden…

    • Found it on their official page. Here it is for reference:

      • Basically, unless you are planning on getting one of these already, there is no reason to go out and get the card just for the bonus credit, as it's going to cost you more just to set it up, and then the same amount yearly.

        Useful for anyone planing on getting one though, but there are much better card deals out there.

        Fees and Charges
        A summary of some fees are below. For a full list of fees and charges including default fees and charges click here.

        Our standard interest rate is 25.25%. Depending on the special offers available at the time of your purchase a lower interest rate may apply to your purchase. Accrued interest is debited to each plan under your Q Card Account monthly on your Statement date. (Correct as at 4 June 2015)
        Where a default in payment occurs, we may charge default interest on the overdue amount while the default continues at a rate which is 5% above our standard card interest rate. (Correct as at 4 June 2015)

        The annual account fee is $50. This is payable in two advance instalments of $25 every six months, and covers the cost of administering your Card Account. (Correct as at 4 June 2015)
        The establishment fee is $55. This is for approving your application and setting up your Q Card account, and is debited against your Fixed Instalment Plan or Flexi Payment Plan when you have made a Purchase in conjunction with your application.
        The advance fee is $35. It will be debited to your Fixed Instalment Plan or Flexi Payment Plan each time you take up a new Fixed Instalment Plan or Flexi Payment Plan (excluding any Q EFTPOS Plan Advances).

        • Hi Shaw,
          What's the best deal for credit card rewards? Monthly spend ~$2000, paid off before interest?

        • @Toddy47: In my case, I go with AMEX with free return Domestic flights every year. Annual fee is $149, but if you love to travel, you get your money back from free travels. And they have rewards as well where you can exchange with gift cards and other deals.

          @Toddy47:

          I'm on a similar plane to papap072013, however I go with the fee free Amex, had a bonus of 50 airpoints, and 1 airpoint per $100 spent, up to nearly 200 airpoints so far, with pretty much the same spending as what you wrote.

          Not necessarily the best, but there is no pressure to spend x amount to make up the fee, and it's about 50 or 55 days interest free too.
