You can also get the 8-way board at NL for $46.13 with CSC membership.

    • The black one?

      • I have two of the black ones and they click every few minutes whenever a single device drawing a moderate amount of power is on (eg. a PC, AV receiver, video game console, TV, mobile phone fast charger…). The clicking is obviously the surge protection kicking in but it's crazy that it happens so often, and will be wearing the board out.

I tried different outlets around the house and they all do it! Is this common? I'm tempted to just replace both with the 8-socket white one, as the clicking really bothers me

        • Dunno on your power draw but i use the white one for my 3080 PC, 2x monitors and 3x external hdds, router, & charging, but have never heard a click happen.

Fams got one too for their systems and no issues

          • @Huntakillaz: Yeah I have 3 or 4 of the white ones and they never click. Just the black ones which are supposed to be rated higher protection do it. I can literally have only a single standard Samsung phone fast charger, nothing else, on the black one and it will click.

            • @NeM2k2: Call Belkin and ask them about it.

Years ago when we had an old Belkin that was acting up called them and asked them about it and they just straight up sent out a new one for free.

        • Try it at another property when you can, if same thing, then warranty claim.

        • I have two of them (white) in my home made rack, powering an IBM server, 2xNAS, switches, a bunch of raspberryPi's and never had "clicking" problems.

  • FYI, the USB is shared 2.4A which is pretty slow if you try to charge 2 devices at the same time.
