NordVPN: 95% Cashback for New Customers, No Cap @ Cashrewards

70

30 day money back guarantee from Nord for peace of mind.

Pricing

Cashback is eligible for new NordVPN customers only.

Cashback may be ineligible if using codes not listed on Cashrewards.

Cashback is calculated and paid on the advertised cost of the plan only. It will not include any GST, taxes, credit card or PayPal surcharges.

The amount that tracks to your Cashrewards account may differ to the paid amount due to international exchange rates. Your initial payment is converted to USD, then converted back to AUD when reported to us. The advertised cashback rate is based on the reported amount, not the paid amount. Cashrewards has no control over this process.

  • Can you withdraw earned cash from cashback AU to your NZ bank account?

    • +3

Using PayPal works. I have done it twice.

Edit : i normally leave it as PayPal balance and use it as is to avoid conversion charges

      • +1

can confirm paypal works fine, you need a AU bank account for cashrewards bank payments

        • +1

You can get a AU bank account through Wise.

      • sorry never used cashrewards before. So, when I pay to NordVPN do I need to use PayPal, or to redeem cashback from cashrewards I will have to provide my Paypal account details?

        • +1

To redeem you need paypal. Doesn't matter how you pay to nordvpn. Make sure you click through cashrewards to make the purchase.

  • Speaking of OzBargain, I've been trying to take advantage of the Paramount + subscription, full year for $5.99. Stumble at the last hurdle. Don't have an Aussie payment method.

    • I heard about transferwise. Never used it though

      • Don't think this will work. I just checked my transferwise card and it shows the 'issuing country' is NZ..

        • Cant you make an Aussie bank account through Wise and pay that way?

*My mistake thats probably only for deposits

    • Can you get something like a prezzy card to use? Mighty first a few bucks in card costs but should be doable. I had similar frustrations trying to use a 3 months of Hulu code Amazon gave me.

    • Does a AU bank account work?

In transferwise you can open a balance with AU currency which would give you below. Just not sure what you get as haven't gone through the process.

    • Simplest method would probably be to see if you can get an Australian giftcard/voucher for iTunes or Apple or whatever. (I don't really know the details of Apple's stores so not sure which gift card you'll need.)

      • Was going to buy a $20 iTunes gift card through Amazon AU and add it to my new Australian iOS account, but in the end decided against it. Not worth $20 to me.

I can probably stream most of their shows through my Real-Debrid + Seren setup anyway. IPTorrents if I get desperate.

  • Is this VPN good for Netflix US?

    • yes, you need to use the custom nord dns server for that

  • So how much does the NordVPN work out for with the 95% cashback?

    • total for 2 year comes to $102.35 with gst. So around $6 after cashback I think.

      • +1

2 year plan cost me $147.69 NZD

        • I think mine was in USD. Saw post that if you choose canada, could avoid gst. Not sure if that would have worked.

  • There is a 15% discount on top of this if you have a Studentbeans code!!

  • +1

Got the 2 year plan. $147.69 all up. CashRewards has put up $111.49 AUD as the cashback. 2 years = $30 NZD roughly. $15 a year.

  • +3

Bought the 2-year plan with a US ip, chose Florida for the state, eventually cost me $127 NZD, got the tracking email from cashrewards after ~1.5 hours saying $111.5 AUD reward. Decent deal!

    • Nice

    • oof I should have done that! But I'm still happy with two years for $30.

What's everyone using it for? I'm just getting it so we can watch Aussie TV through Kodi without any hassles. Then occasionally use it for cheaper online deals.

      • I am using surfshark when it had similar deal last year. I am mostly on nz vpn on my phone to block out ads. Pretty happy. Also I have torrents, plex, radarr, sonarr setup running on 2 virtual box. Torrents is always on vpn.

Other than that occasionally for deals.

I had kodi running on rpi for couple of years, but gave it up.

        • How do you block the ads?

          • @hhan7: What type of phone do you have? Blokada does a decent job.

          • @hhan7: I am using iPhone. Surfshark app has feature to block ads which is pretty handy.

I am not too concern about the ads, but on chrome webpages looks good without ads.

            • +1

@ace310: I hope nord VPN has this feature as well

Edit: nord VPN actually has this feature. They call it CyberSec

  • I don't have an AU Bank account, can I still grab this deal?

    • As long as you have a paypal account.

    • Yes. You don't need au bank account

      • Thank you @wakrak and @ace310. I have bought the deal.

I am just curious if it uses the campaign id in URL to identify if the purchase was made through cash reward as we didn't have to enter any coupon code.
