Is this the same supplier as today's article https://i.stuff.co.nz/national/300410247/covid19-champions-o…?

    • Nah, that guy has his own website www.art-isan.co.nz
He was making a better quality 3D printed one but is now doing it with injection moulding. I have a couple of his and they are awesome. I like the fact that he is donating thousands to hospitals too

Kinda crappy to be selling someone else's designs from thingiverse

    • +1

depends, there are 2 listings similar/maybe the design in question that specifically allows someone to commercially sell them under the license provided.

Yeah correct, it has a 'Creative Commons - Attributions' license. From the thing description - "Update 12/03 : The License is now Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0). print quality looks absolutely horrible (you need to sort out your print layers mate) -from mech engineer who spent 800 internship hours on 3D printing faculty at NTUT

There's already a soft plastic strip in the mask, all you gave to do is pinch it.

    • doesn't help me glasses still fog up.

Good on them, at least they’re not drop shipping from China

  • I got some awesome ones from the guy that featured on the news. He is donating thousands to hospitals also. His ones are made from injection moulding also which I believe is far better quality. They will hold up longer than 3D printed ones. his website is www.art-isan.co.nz
