  • I have wanting to buy one of these for a while now and have been keeping an eye on the price. They have inflated their price and then slapped on 50% to make it appear like a good deal.

    I’m leaning towards buying a Aqara M2 hub which offers almost the exact same features as the Sensibo, it has native HomeKit support, is much cheaper, and can be used with other Aqara smart home devices.

    Sensibo also has some feature behind a subscription which you shouldn’t expect after buying such a pricey device.

    I’m not sure if you’re allowed to post links in comments but there is one retailer at the moment selling the m2 hub for $70 NZD.

    • Check the deal I posted a couple weeks ago. $132 delivered. It's still live on Amazon

      I bought an IR transmitter from aliexpress for a fraction of the price. Does exactly the same, compatible with Google Home etc. Shrug :/

      • Do you have a link to the one you bought? I've been wanting a sensibo but i really hate anything with a subscription model.

          Broadlink version. I have rm4 mini with hts2 for temperature.I got broadlink as it is more supported by home assistant.

          Cheaper options would be tuya or smartlife.

          • @ace310: quite a different, sensibo is just working
            sensibo also can sense that you use real remote and update status. I played with broadlink for a bit, but now have 3x Sensibo Sky

            • @lasc: That's good to know. But for my use case, I can't justify $100+ device just to control heat pump. Also, I need home assistant integration. One app rule is what I follow.

                @ace310: sensibo has integrations https://www.home-assistant.io/integrations/sensibo/
                its pricely yeah :(

              • @ace310: Got the S07 Tuya off AliExpress after seeing the last Sensibo post. For $10.50 delivered (10 days to arrive), I'd definitely rate the product. On/off, temp change, Google voice control, schedule etc. Ordered the Tuya temp/humidity sensor yesterday for $12 delivered so will see how well that pairs when it arrives

        • This is my one - well, I have a couple of them, one for each heatpump. :)
