Karcher WV6 Plus Cordless Window Vac $168.99 @ Bunnings ($143.64 at Mitre10 via Price Beat)

140

Best price I have seen for this, usually retails for ~$220 at most stores.
Price beat at Mitre10 to make it $143.64 (model: 16335110)

Definitely the best window vacuum in the market by a margin and a different beast to the entry level WV1 (https://www.cheapies.nz/node/24032)

Notable differences:

  • Huge battery life: Karcher WV6 currently has the longest battery life, giving you up to 100 minutes on a single charge. The next model below WV5 has a run time of 35 minutes. The WV2 models have a run time of 25 minutes, while the older WV1 has a battery life of 20 minutes.

  • 150ml dirty water capacity compared to 100ml for all other models.

  • Only 0.1kg heavier than other models (0.8kg vs 0.7kg)

If you're in the market for one, a very good deal in my opinion.

FYI I have the previous model. They are OK for cleaning windows. Good if you have small children and want to give the windows a quick going over every now and again. Still think newspaper and window cleaner produces a better finish though. Good in winter for condensation on the windows, if you don't want to crack them.

    • I have the wv2. Very handy with occasional spills on wooden floors, especially when kids are in the house. Also, use it regularly in bathroom and cleaning windshield after wash.

  • Thanks for that - popped down and picked one up.

  • I had awful condensation on my windows. It would fill up a window vac container when doing a third of the house. Got sick of fighting condensation and mould growing on walls so we just make sure we ventilate the house during the day or use a dehumidifier and heatpump on dry mode. Worked well to significantly cut down condensation.

  • Does anyone know if you can price match online at Mitre10 or is it in-store only?

Only in-store! As per their policy outlined very clearly online.
Gotta visit the store in person :)

Thanks for the quick response. I will give it a go in-store tomorrow. Cheers!

Got ours from Mitre 10 Albany today for $143.64. Thanks!

Got one today too. Can't believe I just spent over $100 for a little vacuum and a spray bottle haha!

  • These are hilarious. There's nothing too them, just a cheap vacuum squeegee, you must be paying 130$ for the word Karcher and the box. Total gimmick that stays in the cupboard because meths and tp works better with less streaking

Each to their own, but depends on how much windows you have in my opinion.
I can guarantee you if you use methylated spirits and tp for all the windows in my house it will take you an entire day and a half.

  • Back to $178 now.
