I purchased one which has now dropped off the site so must have been the last one. Each bike is in a different store really. There was one I really liked the look of in Dunedin and I’m chch based so was trying to work out how I could get it up here.

@1ys23: Nothing refunded though, so I'm guessing the other bottles are just taking a while to get to the distribution centre or something.
@1ys23: Order arrived. 2 bottles, 1 grey recycled plastic bag, 0 packaging.
Bottle was dented and scratched, clearly shelf stock with labels.
I don't care too much about the cosmetics of a water bottle and I know these will get banged up, but these are still $28 each, which isn't cheap.
Plus, I plan on giving these away too so I can't be having them dented.
In the middle of sending them back now and getting sent replacements.
Now I'm worried I'll send them back and they will have no stock anymore, so I'll be left with nothing.
@Bill: I had been in a T7 store to look at their products and it seemed all of their Hydro Flask products (whether it be retail price/reduced price) on the shelf are sold without the original boxes they usually come in.
@CheapieSniper: Yes, I was surprised they didn't come in boxes. Knowing that, whoever packed my order still just chucked the two bottles in a bag and sent them on their way. A shame these two bottles will probably end up in a dumpster now.

@Plug: Just looked at the shipping label on the bag and it came from a retail store in Christchurch, not a distribution centre. That would explain why it's so different.

@Ytrewq: @Ytrewq Oh nice! At least it looks like they are honoring the online purchases despite this item constantly flipping between online and in-store only status. Gives us all a little hope. A couple of Qs for you if you don't mind:
1)Was the bottle properly packaged? Did the Queenstown branch send it in a box?
2)Do you mind sharing what date you ordered yours? Also did you receive any emails after the "order confirmation" email? I haven't heard from T7 since.
@CheapieSniper: Nope wasn't in it's box or any box.. it arrived in a large courier bag by itself wrapped in a few metres of bubble wrap.
I ordered on the 3rd of December (in between it going in and out of stock) and received two emails on the 7th, one was shipping confirmation with tracking info and then a invoice a few hours later..

I was on live chat again regarding the two damaged bottles I received. The person told me the other 3 were out of stock and I could either exchange or refund. I got to pick from the other full-priced colours. For the 1.18L, only black is available to exchange with as the blue is also low stock.
And this time I got the case opened for the damaged ones, unlike the useless person I had last time.
@Wakrak: I just spoke to them on live chat and they exchanged mine for a blue one 1.18L.

@CheapieSniper: Nope. I think it would have done me more good to keep my mouth shut and wait for mine to ship before letting everyone else know they had to exchange or it would be cancelled.
I've only so far gotten one of my other swapped bottles shipped and a credit note for resending the two doa ones without a tracking number.
@Bill: Nah I don't think it's for that reason. It definitely has something to do with the colour selection. Those who opted for Blue bottle had theirs shipped earlier for some reason. (Blue is now OOS online and in-store)
I had also exchanged for Black and have not heard anything since my case closed email. Kind of annoying but will see what happens Monday.
@CheapieSniper: Right from the start, there was only one blue bottle in stock on the website (I tested adding it to my cart when I was on live chat). So I was surprised that not only one, but both of them were able to order the blue one. (kind of pissed me off, me reading their comments)
The other bottle I swapped (Amethyst) is also not shipped but is in stock, so there are significant delays as well.
Only upside to all this so far is that they haven’t asked for the two damaged ones I received back yet and the case has been closed, so I may get the two slightly scratched up and dented ones for free. But with my luck I'll end up jinxing it.

Better thermal properties than many, durability, and the big one - marketing. They're like Yeti and Blunt. They produce excellent products, but their prices are a laugh (I say this as someone who owns products from both).
To be fair, blunt umbrellas are more sturdy than most but still not worth the full price and would be overkill if you live in a place that doesn't have constant strong winds.
@ross: That's what I was getting at. A lot of the perceived value comes from the brand "prestige" that's been fostered through marketing and high pricing. AllBirds was another one.
@Plug: Agreed. I totally forgot the point you were getting at when I was writing my previous comment and realized by your reply that I was making it sound like you didn't say blunt were making good products.
AllBirds on the other hand, I feel like they don't have very good product quality in terms of how their shoes are constructed. I have one and yes, it is very light and comfortable but I can see that they don't look very well made. The sole looks like it's just glued to the shoe and would fall off anytime if I wear it regularly. Bought it at full price as well though, a few years back, they actually don't do any discounts.
