The Low Quantity Thread

Limited Quantity

If your deal has limited quantity, please mention it in the description. If the quantity is too small then your deal may be removed. As a guideline, less than 10 quantity of items is not enough for a deal unless the item has a high price.

This is the thread for these deals.

    • Oush that is very tempting! But I also need to practice some self restraint.

      • Good luck with that 😂

    • Very tempting, but this seems to be an overkill for 8 year old kid for BYO to school.

    • I used the powerpass app price scanner in store and it's showing full price 😔

    • Does anyone know if theyre $2.50 in store? Does it scan as $2.50?

      • Scanned at the normal price of $34.97 for me/the price it shows when a store is selected. Assume this is a clearance price that is overriding default for some reason?

        • Thanks, I appreciate the kind gesture, i'm in auckland :( determined to grab one when it pops up next time

          • @P0KEMON: How do you go about setting up a monitoring link? Following.

            • +2

@victor47: I use visualping, they have chrome and firefox extensions. Used it successfully when boringmilk had that free promo thing a while back. There could be a faster and more efficient way to monitor links though, not much of a coder myself

            • +1

@victor47: There are other good ones aside from VisualPing. PageCrawl.io is good, so is onwebchange.com and that's actually one of the cheapest and most bang for your buck service out there. I know because I monitor a lot of stuff myself and have researched and tested a lot of them. Even created my own tools for monitoring other things that aren't easily monitored, such as checking whether the cheapest price for e.g. Z across the whole country on Gaspy has dropped below a certain price target and if yes, notify me and do other things.

              • @NovaAlpha: What language did you use to create your own tools? keen to give it a go

                • +3

                  @P0KEMON: Depends.

                  Python, Autohotkey, Selenium, Playwright, etc.

On my phone, it'd mostly be either MacroDroid or Tasker. I can automate clicking into things, checking and scanning data, getting data via API calls, etc. There's no one set tool for the job and you can't run all the tools on all platforms. For example, Gaspy is an Android app and naturally languages like Python won't be able to interface with it, since you don't run it natively on Windows (although you could run Gaspy in an emulator running on Windows). In cases like this, don't complicate things and just use MacroDroid or something to check the contents. It's quite powerful.

As another example, if I want to be notified ONLY when it is going to rain AND at specific times (I don't care if it rains in midnight as I'll be asleep) AND when the % of chance of rain is > 40%, then I can do this on MacroDroid as well. I can query via openweathermaps.org using a free API key, then parse the results and get a notification and a voice announcement on my phone, etc. You can do heaps of stuff with it.

FYI all of these recent deals I found through https://pricegrabber.co.nz/

      Sale - sort by discount

      • +1

Cool site but there's tons of flawed discounts that flood the sort by discount feed with -99%

        • Yep. And it takes a long time to filter out the stores you don’t want. But a good resource nonetheless.

          • @Wakrak: If they could make that filtering faster it'd go a long way to solving the problem. Really great resource. Priceme etc seem to be useless for finding significant discounts.

We had a glitch on our website over the weekend where the Aspen plus showed a price of $200 and free delivery, this is incorrect and we will be cancelling and refunding all Aspen plus orders today due to this. Please note the normal retail price for the Aspen Plus is $2699.

I do apologise for any inconvenience caused by this.

    • As expected, was worth a shot though :)

We understand that this is disappointing news and we are sorry that you've been inconvenienced by this cancellation.

  • Decided to finally try out the overhyped Prime drink as they are now $3 at Woolworths. Scanned the drink at checkout and it came up to only $1.50 (Best before is 19th Apr) This was at Milford so could be store dependent, so might not be every WW. Only 2 left (that I saw) at Milford branch FYI

Aren't they just flavoured / sugared milk?

      Was it worth it?

      • I'll buy that for a dollar… fifty (inflation)

      • You’re thinking of PrimO, OP is referring to PrimE which is just the recent hype trained over sugared water and no it isn’t worth it. They’re disgusting.

Ah - total marketing fail there then ;-)

    • And you still have dairies trying to flog this at $8+. The bottom fell out so quick, there must be a lot of money wasted with this product

      • Dairies probably sold alot earlier on. Supermarkets were just late in the game.
