  • This deal wasn't mentioned in the title of the below post so think it's all good to stay up. But highly recommend reading comments in the below post

    https://www.cheapies.nz/node/32035

      Thank you! Sorry, I am still new to posting deals!

    • Do you know how to get 25% off on regular S22. Education pricing is only 20% off. Couldn't find a way to dm you sorry

  • It says this version has the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 when outside of the US, we always get the inferior Exynos chipsets. Is this a mistake or have they finally started using Snapdragons? I’m assuming it’s a mistake because the version we are supposed to have has the Exynos 2200.

    • +1

      Spark lists the snapdragon as the processor under specs also

    • Its Snapdragon for NZ stock (Finally)

  • +3

    Samsung officially confirmed the snapdragon variant in NZ on facebook.

    • Thanks for that! Might upgrade my phone lol.

    • Wow that's actually great news, after years of inferior exynos.

    • Yes, multiple sources confirmed NZ is getting the Snapdragon processor. A main reason why I jumped on the preorder wagon this time :-) Europe is the unfortunate market getting the Exynos. Reviews already showing Exynos 2200 in the S22 series not optimised for some of the games and have to operate at lower resolution.

  • I mean it looks good, but on edustore you still get a much better price + gift

    • What's the price and gift? From reading the previous thread people seemed to think the $500 on the regular Samsung store was better?

      • Edustore has 20% off + leather case. Works out for those preferred the immediate cash discount without having to sell the unwanted buds or chargers. You'll need a .ac.nz email to get access though, or know someone who has access.

  • Samsung also has this $200 off code which can be paired with the $500 voucher. Code: GALAXYS22

    • but the $500 is a e-voucher? not straight discount right?

      • $500 evoucher, $200 straight discount

        • How do you get the $500 voucher?
          I only see a $300 Voucher which you can use to get the Watch and stuff

    • +1

      Samsung is also offering a loyalty program discount where you get 10% voucher if you have out of warranty phone, tablet, watches and earbuds. This stacks with the GALAXYS22 code, making it cheaper than the education store by $10 ish. Only works on the main samsung store and not the edu store.

      • Do you have the code - is it one time use only?

        • +1

          Hey it’s an unique one time code. I started a live chat and then halfway through they asked me what my last Samsung device was. Told them S8 and then said i was eligible for a discount. Then they email you and if you follow the instructions they will send u the code via email. Hope that helps!

          • @bootyshake: Will give it a shot tomorrow :)

          • @bootyshake: You started a live chat and the. Halfway through.

            You started a live chat for a different reason?

            • +1

              @justaddwater: Yep initially started the chat as I forgot to include the free leather case on the epp store haha - then realised the 10% off makes it better on the main store so cancelled and re ordered

          • +1

            @bootyshake: If it helps others I have a watch I've had a couple of years and they sent me one too. Takes a good few hours to arrive after they agree to it though. From the way they asked it sounds like you needed to have purchased the Samsung device over 2 years ago.

            I pretty much called them explicitly to ask for one as they screwed up my original order so bad and the estore teams been a nightmare to deal with. I can now finally place the order I originally placed using this method or actually change the buds pro to the 2 and save myself over $100.

      • so that's $500 e-voucher + $200 discount + 10% off??

        • Yup

        • I got this message after I add the 10% off code and selected S22 and Watch.
          "The code you entered did not affect your order. Please note, codes may only be valid for certain items or in certain conditions."

          If you select S22 only, you get 10% off, but no 10% off with the free watch.

          • +1

            @hello1111: I jut ordered an S22+, with buds 2, 25w charger and the protective case for $1402 using the pair of codes. Could have got it cheaper but I thought for $20 it was worth chucking in the official 25w charger as I don't have an actual samsung one and this will be a bit quicker than my 18W ones.

            It's also worth noting that they are offering better rewards on a lot of products at the moment as per this page:

            https://www.samsung.com/nz/offer/summer-up/

            Seemingly how their store works with the $300/$500 code is it works out how much your accessories are then discounts proportionally on, so if you go over the amount items like the watch or buds take on most of the extra cost, and the inflated rewards also seems to work on that value. In my instance I spent:

            Buds 2 + Charger=$270 (was $300-10%)
            Protective case=$54 (was $60-10%)

            on the final amount after the $300 deduction it came to:
            Buds=$41.28
            Charger=$3.12
            Case=$8.72

            So I also got 25% rewards on the buds netting an extra $10 rewards on top of the $70 from the 5% earnt for the phone. It's not something for everyone but if you want anything above the vouchers value it's worth knowing you can get a little extra back this way and you can get some more expensive bonuses cheaper. Effectively I've just paid $14 for the $60 case. Their system seems really messy with how the vouchers stack, apparently it's 10% off, then $300 off, then rewards on what's left

              • +1

                @justaddwater: Has anyone managed to stack the GALAXYS22 + the 10% off voucher code with the base S22?

                • @brownie1: I think it stacked when I was to tinkering to see if we could buy two phones using it. I wouldn't recommend buying two phones like this as their site just gets confused with the accessories bundles. Ultimately I only picked up the + but I'm sure it wasn't fussy applying it to the basket. Actually think it just worked on everything site wide not just the phones.

                  • @Everettpsycho: Thanks for letting me know.

                  • @Everettpsycho: How long did it take you to receive the 10% off code? They've just said to me it will take between 1-3 days and the pre-order finishes tomorrow.

                    • +1

                      @joshtnz: I called mid morning and got it about 5pm so was a good few hours for them to send it through.

                    • +1

                      @joshtnz: Pre-order now and get a $300 eVoucher and 5% Samsung Rewards
                      For a limited time only.
                      Offer Period : 10.02.2022 - 04.03.2022

                      • @hello1111: Ah thanks - for some reason I thought the timer on their website said one day to go!

                        • +1

                          @joshtnz: I'm not certain when the GALAXYS22 code runs out for this. That's a better code than the 10% one on any phone under $2000 so if you had to choose I'd go with that if you want anything except the ultra. The 10% codes are valid until April.

                          Of course applying both is hands down the best deal, who wouldn't want $350 off instead of $200.

                          • @Everettpsycho: The code came through this morning and I managed to get both working - great tip, thanks!

  • Anyone know when GALAXYS22 code expire?

    • Not sure when, but it still works as of an hour ago.
