    Is it? IDK lol I've played it probably once at a cafe but all the versions and expansions is confusing

    is there like a flowchart/diagram listing them ?

      If you haven't got anything, this is a fantastic deal - just buy this and play the base games a few times before even considering any of the expansions.

      Don't worry too much about a diagram - once you have played it a bit (base game plus at least one exapansion), any other expansions you might want to consider will make much more sense when you read about them.

      Personally, I would rate this as one of the best board games ever.

        Yeah I've heard its popular, but only played once or twice since the board games cafe I goto has like 500+ games we always try different ones.
        Guess I'll grab 1 then, be handy in this pandemic lol

          @Huntakillaz: Obviously we're all different, but our whole family enjoys it - including ones that aren't really into board games at all.

          I would also guess that, if you don't like / use it, you would likely be able to sell (if in 'as new condition') for most if not all of what you pay for it at this price. I could be wrong though :-)

            @Alan6984: I decided to buy it, and will sell our edition 5 version (plus extension) - should end up only a little bit out of pocket, and have trays and sleeves for cards (and a box designed to fit everything in!)

  All the expansions change the game drastically. Like Cities & Knights, Seafarers, Explorers & Pirates, etc.
  Extensions just add support for 5-6 players, and traditionally they were always bought separately.

  The base game is fairly straightforward, in the sense that you're just trying to be the the first person to build and expand and gain points. But the expansions cater for those that want a bit more complexity/challenge. Cities & Knights is very cut throat for instance, and encourages sabotaging and forming alliances to some extent.

  To summarise.
  - extensions = additional player count from 4 to 6.
  - expansions = game mod. Like how Counterstrike was a mod of half life 2.
  - scenarios = mutator. Altering the gameplay slightly but still playing within the current set of base rules.

  180 x Catan clear card sleeves.

  1) At first, thought this was a typo.
  2) Double checked and confirmed it.
  3) Got excited and bought the game.
  4) Now dreading over having to individually sleeve 180 cards.
