Barista express is definitely the gateway machine! I mean I got a 3D printer because of it......Printing WDTs and other accesories…
My suggestion is barista express, and spend the differences in some other accessories. (a good tamper, WDT, botomless portafilter, etc)…
Look up cafetto / cafiza 1kg cleaning powders. Same substance as the breville tablets, but way cheaper, and will last you forever.
recommend bambino + separate grinder if that is an option, otherwise BES870 is a good starter machine.

S22 user here - battery life is atrocious, if you are buying the phone for battery life, steer clear away.

Keep in mind it is a reskinned delonghi - buy the delonghi and save money for accessories unless you really want the SMEG look.
I had same dilemma, I think we are pretty spoiled with library offerings. Ended up with one printer anyway and happy with it.
Not bad starting machine at all. If budget allows the pro/touch is better overall though.
Best time to buy the dynamic duo!
