I don't think it has a long battery life, compare to other alkaline battery models(like G305) which will last for months.
60hours without the RGB.
got a mx master 3 in 2019 for about $120 from PBtech (so cheaper) and it lasts forever (i think 70 days), i usually don't turn it off (cos i forget). I guess its kinda heavy though given all the buttons / macros you can load.

FYI: Try keeping your keyboard mouse and stuff the same, as it means less software to install and tie up resources.
