1 Free Month of Starlink (+ 1 for The Referrer)

20

This is a referral programme but Starlink is now offering one month of free service for you and every new customer you refer by June 30, 2022.

Here's how it works:
1. Invite. Ask your friends & family in Australia and New Zealand to place an order on Starlink.com. They can check service availability in their area on the Starlink map.
2. Register. Once they sign up, provide us with their account number using your unique link.
3. Earn. 30 days after their kit has shipped, both accounts will be credited with one month of free service.
4. Smile. Pat yourself on the back for connecting friends and family with the world’s most advanced high-speed, low-latency broadband internet (and saving everyone some cash at the same time).
Existing customers can refer up to 12 new customers and earn up to one full year of free high-speed internet.

As always, new customers can try Starlink for up to 30 days and return for a full refund of the hardware costs if not fully satisfied.

Thank you for your support of Starlink and happy referring!

    a bit beyond my budget i guess…

    • haha, yeah, minor catch aye.

    • Yeah, when you have no cellphone coverage or any fixed line services, I had paid $2500 for Get Gravity satelitte about and a bit months before I got the email from Elon. The price of rural living!!

  • Seems alright if you can't get wired/wireless internet (assuming if you can't get wired, but wireless is available, installing a satellite is not an option aka an apartment building, also wireless home internet aka Skinny is actually pretty impressive these days).

Other than that NZ is pretty good on the connectivity front, and it won't beat out fibre by any stretch of the imagination. In both performance and price.

So it wouldn't really be worth considering except where satellite internet is your ONLY option, out in the wapp wapps or something.

Also lol on them saying they're preserving the night sky for astronomy by leading in innovations to reduce satellite brightness.

No, you're not preserving the night sky, you're just putting in tech to reduce the amount you're (profanity) it up.

      • Pure gold. Agree. Its pure marketing!

Yep this is me in Rural Coromandel - no cellphone coverage or fixed-line services. It has been the best thing we have had in ages.

  • $159 per month LOL. I pay like $65 per month for my internet, which is less than half of that.

Only 87% of NZ households will have access to fibre by the end of this year, still years away for many people in NZ if they want better than ADSL1/2 speeds and many of the customers who take up satellite internet at $200+/mo with other providers can't get connectivity at all.
