I don't quiet understand how a magnetic levitation motor works on a toothbrush but here you go!

Personally i have used a oclean z1 and it cleans very well at around 40,000rpm. I also recomend getting extra brushes with the initial purchase as they work out cheaper i believe.

  I have an oclean one that I got years ago, which became useless due to corrosion on the charging contact surface. Looks like this is a better design? Anyone can comment on it further?

    That’s what happened with one of ours, within only a handful of months. The other just stopped working within weeks. Not impressed with the brand tbh.

  Are you getting this for yourself, OP? I am also considering the sonicare 2100 for $50, but this seems better in every way. The price makes it look on par with the big brands, but I have never heard of it. I assume this is a major brand in asia especially with some cheapies recommendations. Reddot, IF awards all sound great. DuPont bristles seem impressive, which makes replacement heads seem reasonable at $5 each. Will I need to source future heads also on ali? Are they compatible with sonicare heads?

  There are a lot of other models also available at the same discount, is this the best pick of the bunch?

  Maglev to me just sounds like a gimmick way to say brushless.

  I currrently use high-end manual but want to upgrade to electric.

    Looks like it is part of the Xiaomi brand, which I trust. Xiaomi makes a lot of good products

      Xiaomi has the t500 at pb, hard to tell what is superior with all the different models from oclean.

    This is a high quality Chinese brand and very popular in Europe. (I often look at the pepper group deals websites mydealz, pelando, etc for AliExpress and Banggood-they often feature deals for oclean)

  Internal illustration looks like it could be a brushless motor. But Maglev sounds way cooler, even if it's not levitating.

    What they mean by maglev is just a brush less motor. No one calls it that but the idea is the stator and rotor aren't touching and there are magnets in the motor. A complete gimmick, nothing special.
