  • Any difference between the Arlo pack on Harvey and this one on the Market? (besides colour)

$949.99 delivered with MarketClub and code MFEST10

    • VMC4350P vs VMC4350B-100AUS, I assume that the B means black so probably the same apart from colour

$179.25 per Ring camera ($717/4) is pretty rip-off. Only 1080p and doesn't even have starlight sensor.

Just get a Wyze Cam v3:
    - Works indoor and outdoor
    - Has starlight sensor. Makes night time look like day with colour. This is honestly amazing.
    - AI detection features, including Person, Package/Parcel, Vehicle, Pet, Face. Person detection comes with the Wyze Cam Lite service and you can get this service for free if you want. This is shown on their website when you check the Wyze services section. Their detection feature is one of the main reasons why I'm still using Wyze Cam after all these years.
    - Free 14 day rolling cloud storage on AWS. You can also choose to store footage on microSD.
    - Integration with IFTTT etc, the usual stuff.
    - Really good IR at night and camera quality is great.
    - Regular firmware updates and support from the vendor
    - Can extend easily with a Wyze Solar panel and other Wyze products
    - Can daisy chain multiple Wyze Cams via USB connection
    - Lots of other cool and small features that you can read up on.
    - Cheap. Even when you pay for Youshop shipping and import tax, it comes down to about $100 NZD per camera. I got my Wyze Cam v3s just a few weeks ago, shipped via Youshop. A few years ago it used to be even cheaper at about $50~$60 (NZD) per camera, but then NZ started introducing the import tax thing.

In summary, really good cameras can be had for $50~$60 and even if you account for import tax, they cost about $100 and are still much better than the "discounted" $179+ alternatives.

    • Wyze have just listed v3 and pan on Amazon au. $60 aud with free shipping. Great cams, I have 6

Ahh god damn it, I should have waited haha. Good to know, I might buy a couple more to replace my old v1 pan and wyze cam v2s.

I also purchased their night light as well, it's quite good and super long lasting compared to the other ones I've used.

Also, interesting to note that the Wyze Lamp Socket on Amazon AU supports 240V! I was looking at getting this just a few weeks ago but they are rated for 110V for the US market. Maybe they updated it to support other regions now.

        • Interesting socket.

        • Oh wow, I never knew those sockets were a thing. Very cool

      • Thanks for sharing! I've been thinking for ages I ought to get a camera. I'll be sticking it inside looking out, looks like the v3 is the better option?

        • Do consider reflection from glass if you are going to install inside looking out. I got very bad capture in night time due to reflection and street light outside. Depends on your location obviously. Though I have eufy not this one.
