Decent deal if you're a Palmolive fan. I use the foaming liquid with my Xiaomi Mi Automatic Foaming Soap Dispenser.

Add six of the three-packs. Works out to roughly $4.11 a litre. Naturals & antibacterial are slightly cheaper.

Options are:

  • Palmolive Naturals
    • Milk and Honey Refill
    • Aloe Vera and Chamomile Refill
  • Palmolive Antibacterial
    • Sea Minerals Refill
    • Odour Neutralising Lime Refill
    • 2 Hour Defence Orange Refill
    • White Tea Refill
  • Palmolive Foaming
    • Japanese Cherry Blossom Refill
    • Lime and Mint Refill
    • Raspberry Refill

Big fan of the Japanese Cherry Blossom Refill.

  • CheaAzChips tip of the day: Grab a 1-2L Palmolive Naturals Body Wash bottle (transparent flavours only, my favourite is pomegranate), mix approximately 1 part body wash to 3-4 parts water and fill the foaming dispenser for a perfectly adequate and super cheap replacement.

Just don't use any opaque, pearl or milky body washes, they clog up the foaming mechanism.

I do similar for my Xiaomi dispenser. 1/3 foam liquid, the rest water.

      • how long will it take you to go through it? if anyone is buying some and want to sell me a few gallons do let me know.

        • I'd say quite a while but I've been stocking up on things like this anyway; taking advantage of Amazon AU sales and The Market / Warehouse coupons.

      • Hi, where did you get your Xiaomi dispenser from? thanks

        • +1

Think it was this one. Xiaomi liquid dispenser

USB-C version that's easy to refill. Paid US$$23.22 back in October, 2021 (quite a few stores sell it so perhaps do a manual search and sort by orders + 4✰ and up).

There's another model (Xiaomi Mijia) that runs on batteries and is a pain in the arse to refill (according to the many comments on OzBargain). I reckon spend the extra money and get the newer version.

          • @Wakrak: Thanks so much, I really appreciate your help!

          • @Wakrak: The Mijia (which I have) is a pain to refill because they're not supposed to be refillable, aka they were following the razor blades business model. Xiaomi released a refillable model later on after it got popular, and everyone else started making refillable ones.

I've seen many of these foaming soap dispensers in all sorts different styles, but strangely enough never the traditional gel-type soap dispensers, like the Dettol no-touch range.

  • Hi, does it expire?

Just checked the 11L I got from Amazon last week. Could not find a single expiry date, so perhaps not?

Personally I'm not a big fan of the antibacterial stuff. Soap doesn't need it, but besides that I've always wondered what effect all the thousands of litres of Triclosan and Benzalkonium Chloride has on municipal sewerage treatment plants, and eventual dissipation into the environment. Most sewerage treatment relies on aerobic and anaerobic bacterial processes to break it down, and we're kinda killing all the good stuff with a broad spectrum antibacterial agent.

    • Hear hear! I believe triclosan is banned for human use now.( Used to be the active ingredient in Colgate Total toothpaste).
Most of the cases just normal soap would do the antibacterial work for you.

    • This was discussed during the SARS time, antibacterial is not necessary, just wash hands properly and correctly. I guess most people are just buying peace of mind…haha

  • thanks for sharing.

Would anyone know why it shows $10.49 each (3packs) in it's item page but $10.97each in check out? Not a big deal, but just want to know the reason.

    • +2

The prices you see on the main page are AUD including AU GST.
So you see 10.49, including GST.

In check out, Amazon removes the 10% Australian GST and then adds 15% NZ GST (All in Australian Currency)

      So
      10.49 Incl AU GST
      9.54 exl all GST (10.49/1.1)
      10.97 Inc NZ GST (9.54*1.15)

Remember everything is in AUD, so you will get charged 10.97 AUD for the product.

    • Very well explained by Bob so no need to repeat. Just a note that the NZ$ is a bit weaker against the AU$ than it was a few months ago. Nevertheless, this is still a good deal if you buy these specific products. The free delivery is a bit unusual as it is a heavy item, and delivery is still charged on the individual bottles. And of course, no need to buy 18l of soap if you have a few other items in your cart. As long as you make AU$59 (of qualifying items) delivery is free.

    • Thanks Bob and Seeker.

      Well explained.
