  I've found heaps of butter at Northlands when I've gone there on a Saturday morning.
  Just got some more last week and there was plenty late morning.

  When I go to either of the two stores closest to me they always seem to have butter. Usually go there before lunchtime though. Went to one of the stores the other day and they had a seperate standing fridge entirely stocked with buttter.

  My local (Nelson) store had a ton of unsalted a few weeks ago. It's printed with green font instead of the more common red. It looked odd being that I didn't even know that the green variation existed.

      Yes. I've only seen it once though. They didn't have stock of the standard salted, just the unsalted.
