  • I dont think St Pierre's Sushi is included this time.

    • It’s included :)

      • Not sure if the map is wrong but seems it depends. St Pierre's shows for Napier but not for hastings

        • yeah it's pretty inconsistent. And if you order St Pierres online, that's just charged as St Pierres, which seems to be valid? lol..

    • Same. Last time, I used all 10 usage at St. Pierre's but it seems the one close to my place is not part of the current promo.

      • St Pierres is under the "Available Online" category. So technically you could order online and it'll be eligible nationwide?

        • Have just tried this at one of the non-listed branch and after I paid, I got an email thanking me for shopping small. Now waiting if I will actually get the 5$ after a few days.

    • can someone kindly confirm that St Pierre's online order and Hell Pizza online order works in all stores, please? or only indicated by the online status that is directly related to a specific store.

Do note the last time I ordered from Hell Pizza (before the promo) the receipt on Amex card noted the actual Hell Pizza store/ location.

I can confirm, St Pierre's online ordering is valid. I haven't gotten the money credited back yet but I did get an email thanking me for supporting small businesses and $5 will be credited back. Would be good if it was valid in-store too

We used at St Pierres manukau mall and the one next to big countdown in manukau, both worked. So I assume as long as the St Pierres you go to accept Amex, then it should work.

  • +1

    Jaycar and burger fuel are

    • Burgerfuel offline only though.

      • burgerfuel shows on the 'available online' option for me

        • Let me know how you get on, last year it also said Available Online but their payment processor didn't accept amex haha..

          • @simch: Haven't tried it yet, but will let you know if i do end up ordering burger fuel

          • +1

@simch: No go online only instore

            • @Avatar: thanks. still the same situation as last year then :)

  • +1

A bit annoying it’s $10. Most things on the list you’re paying well over $10 for anything.

    • +1

Definitely. Hence only sticking to the small $ meals but multiple orders.

    • +6

well, think about what we can from other credit card - Nothing! Then the Amex offer is a great offer regardless, eventhough it is just 5 dollars per 10 dollars spent

  • +1

    Thanks!

Do they have a list of stores like last time? can't seem to find it

The map is a bit laggy/difficult to use :(

    • +1

I contacted their chat support, there is no list view, only map

    • +1

Yeah it looks like they got rid of the list damn. I hate the map, it sucks!

    • might just be me or incomplete one but i can view it in a list view when i open it on my mobile.

      • yeah the list view on the side doesn't show on mobile. Annoying…

        • Weird, there is list view on mine when i open it on my mobile. Not sure how i show it here though

          • @spam: Ok nvm I see it now. On mobile you have to click the big blue button with white text that says “List View”

  • Anyone has a link to be able to add supplementry cards please

    • You should be able to add it to the supplementary card through the Offers tab if you log in to the app using the supplementary cardholder's login.

      • Thanks. I got too many Amex supplementry cards, can't remember any log in details at all.

        • +1

the only way to add offers is via the app now. A bit of an admin exercise if you have many supp cards.

          Tip: use a password manager

    • Hey, just checking with each supplementary card, does it get 10 cashback each, excluding the primary card cashback?

So with primary card and 1x supplementary card, is it:
      A) 20 cashbacks?
      or
      B) Combined total of 10 cashbacks only?

      Many Thanks.

      • +1

No, each Amex card gets $5 back when you spend $10 or more and you can use it for 10 times per card. So if you have 4 cards, then it's $5 x 10 times x 4 cards = $200 in total. Make sure you register every single card before you use it.

        • Awesome! thanks for confirming.
I better start using the newly registered supplementary card too then :)

  • Does the grabone website work?

    • I can't seem to find it in the list so assuming no.

  • Does Burgerfuel accept Amex online yet or still have to order in store?

    • Still in-store only by the looks of things

  • +1

Question - do you guys have the Amex Airpoints card the white one? Any tips on how to maximize using this card?

    • for the white one that's free, the best is to make full use of all the promos like this one!

When they had the same deal last year, I got $5 credit every time I spent $10+ on Trademe via Ping. It's weired as I didn't see Trademe mentioned in the Ts&Cs.

    • Interesting you mention that. When they had shop small and the Ping promos (spend $20 get $10 credit), I got $15 credit for spending $20 on Ping.

  • Does that mean if i spend $20 together i get $10 back or it needs to be $10 separate transactions?

    • +1

Separate transactions, no issues most places separating a bill

The link is working now, this is good for supplementry cards registration.

    https://merchantgeo.secure.force.com/enroll/EnrollmentSitePa…

    • awesome glad they did this!!

  • Surprisingly, ordered some takeaway via ordermeal and got the email I got $5 back! Just waiting until it appears on the statement now if it's true

    • Looks like Ordermeal.co.nz is on the list! So I would expect you get the credit.

  • Has anyone had their $5 credited? From memory it was pretty quick in previous years.

    • +1

Not yet from last thursday (1 Sept) - have got the emails confirming it has been tracked however…. It was almost instantaneous last year, agreed!

      • have had mixed results so far. I think something has gone wrong in their automated credit system. Out of 10 spent throughout 1 to 5 Sep I've received credit for 4.

        • did not get emails last weekend (sept 3-4). got emails for transactions this weekend. but 0 credited.

  • not directly related to this deal, but I want some info/help on annual renewal - has anyone successfully had their annual fee waived - I have Airpoints Platinum card and the annual fee $195 is quite high. I just requested via app online chat and it was declined. Keen to know any successful experience or tips. Thanks!!!!

    • +1

You wont get annual fee waived/refund but if you go through the cancellation process, you may get some some complementary Airpoints or retention offer(s). This has to be done over the phone and you have to firmly tell them you want to cancell. Their system would usually make an retention offer very quickly. Good luck.

      • Thank you. I assume I have to call before I am charged with the annual fee for the next year, correct? Since I am now already been charged, if I will end up in a loss if I do cancel. Am I correct?

        • +1

If you do end up cancelling the card (close your account) and did not accept the retention offer, perhaps you could enquire the annual fee refund on a pro rata basis? Just double check.

  • Noticed that King's Plant Barn isn't listed on Shop small, used to use 10x $10 gift vouchers and pay them separately. Anyone seen any places that do gift vouchers/cards?

    • King's plant barn botany and Lunn Ave are on the list.

    • I bought something from Plant Barn in Takapuna yesterday and got the $5 credit.

    • +1

I got 20x $10 vouchers from 3 Wise Men using me and my partners CC, and support even bundled them into a single code for me.

  • Got $5 back for using card at Gateau House Newmarket, even though it's not on the list… (only the Queen Street branch is).

Also used at Jaycar Newmarket and haven't received anything back yet.. (and Jaycar transaction was before Gateau House too)

  • Received $5 back on a spend at PetDirect this week
