You can see who made the changes and when by clicking on 'revisions' under the deal title.
Without even looking I can put a guess with reasonable certainty…..

😂 Thank you, still don't know all my ways around here.
        But yep, thank you @Wakrak!

          Wakrak is the real MVP

  • I'm after either an OLED or mid-high range LCD. Anyone know of any good deals?

    Or wait for.black Friday?

    • Same here, I keep looking at the TCL C835 and Panasonic oleds but thinking black Friday will likely be when I take the plunge.

      • Heard good things about c835 but it's currently more expensive than the Sony x90k I think there is definitely room for it to drop a bit.

    • Noel Leeming does a similar sale all the time and TVs generally aren’t a good deal then. They’re usually sold below cost on bigger sales so you’re better off waiting for Black Friday.

You can search the site for the last one, it was fairly recent and some people posted the TV prices which weren’t any better than the current special.

These companies probably get rebates after x units outta door so all this "sold at cost" is bit of a marketing bs.

        • Yes it says "does not include any volume-related adjustments which may apply". IIRC from discussions about Noel Leeming, who did or do these more regularly, the generally recommendation is only their expensive accessories and stuff like that tend to be cheaper than a decent sale.

Edit: Someone here https://www.cheapies.nz/node/23738 also suggests whiteware and maybe some of their in house branded stuff

    • I did give them a call and asked if I could have a price on a certain product to save me the drive but I was told they have no idea which items are included and they wouldn't give me a price. I was told to call them again tomorrow from 6 and hopefully I'll get lucky.

      Lame but I tried.

      • Thanks yeah that's a bit lame. I'm always a bit wary of these "cost plus" sales that don't publicize prices.

Might just wait for black Friday or 11.11 sales

  • Interesting that the price of Hisense TV went up from $1345 yesterday to $1597 today. I got to ring the store to clarify this.

  • That is bloody cheap to buy in Aussie.

  • Another warning.

If that's not the kind of thing you're into, go before 7pm. They have another event going on. Villainy performing at the same place.

  • Kind of a fake sale. Bought a massager last week on sale for $99. Today it is $109.

I don't think they sold it at a loss last week

Agree. The issue is that they won't make it public unless you go to store. Ended up having to go. Although what I wanted wasn't a mind blowing discount, it's still cheaper than what I've observed lately ☺

But it was a gamble and in some cases I think they were quite cheeky. 🤔
