  • There was a recommendation made for some from AliExpress here

Seems to be exactly the same as what this Belkin can do (actually supports even faster wireless charging standard) but is 1/3rd the price so worth considering. I've got a lot of them now and i'm very happy with them all

    • thanks, i will buy a few then

i have an iphone, does the 30w work for it? or do I have to buy the ones pictures as 0-20w?

      • +2

MagSafe is 15w, all others will wirelessly charge at 10w.

its your typical ali express poorly worded listing.

There is only 1 type of wireless charging pad.
All the differences come down to what colour you want, and if you want them to include the 0.5m micro-usb cable.

As rebound7 mentioned all iPhones charge at 10w unless using a MagSafe compatible iPhone AND charger.

The 20W you see listed is just them trying to show that different phones support different wireless charging speeds.

The pad is 30W so it will charge UP TO 30W or your phones maximum (whichever is lesser)

        Hope that makes sense

        • The listing also says it will charge iPhone at 7.5w in one of the listing photos.

  • Is there any truth to my irrational fear an aliexpress cable will burst into flames????

    • I currently use cables bought from Aliexpress to charge my phone and smartwatch, and haven't had any issues nor noticed a difference in charging speed. Bought both cables near the start of the year. YMMV

    • If you go with the cheapest option possible, or with less than reputable sellers, then i think its probably something to be weary of

But if you are buying from a good seller for a correctly spec'd product then there is a high chance you are getting an almost identical item to what you can buy on Amazon, The Warehouse, or a major respected brand, just without branding or retail packaging.

  • Pb tech often sell momax ones for about $20 that can handle 15W charging. I got a couple last time they were on sale and they are good enough for my needs.

I do have a couple of AliExpress "10W" ones but I've never been able to actually get that speed out of them no matter what charging brick I use. I'm always weary of their claims now and try to only get one with a USB C port as generally micro USB ones don't seem to offer the higher output.
