Thanks for the post, but for most people I'd still recommend Kogan or even MyRepublic ($40 unlimited data).

The MVNO's are getting cheaper and cheaper. Good competition.

This will be useful if you are a Farm Source account holder.

I haven't gone through it in detail, but I received an email from 2 degrees.

Hi Pikachu1994, R U sure this 2degrees 1/2 price offer can be applied to those already discounted 2D Farmsource plans?. Ive tried to double check in the T&C's and it's not clear it's a yes it can….

      • Not sure about combining these deals. However, you can get a better deal using Farm Source Plan like $30+GST per month- 100 GB data, unlimited calls and texts ($3 for the first three months, new customer).

Is Farm Source only limited to farming businesses or does any retail business suffice?

          • +1

@OmgItsHeaven: Anyone can join (you don't need to be a businesses).
            It's good for cheap petrol

            • @fake: I have just signed up to Farmsource - very straight forward. Has any non-business owner had success signing up with 2 degrees via Farmsource?

          • @OmgItsHeaven: Will an Farm Source One account suffice or do you need an online credit account?

I did this last year, and I ended up also getting a set of JBL headphones, Amazon Prime and Neon for free for 6 months as it crossed over with their Christmas promo.

  • Whilst 2Degrees offer some good mobile deals, make sure their mobile coverage works for you.

In my case, metropolitan Christchurch has good reception though I've often noticed that my work phone (Spark) has much better reception outside of the city - particularly the ski fields and some of the campsites in the South Island.

I took advantage of the 2Degrees iPhone trade-in deal last year though my 12 month contract is up & I can't wait to go back to Spark (their 'Team Up' discounts aren't too bad).

  • For new customers only? I have been with them for a while, nothing for the old customer…thinking of change actually…

same old story; its usually the same way sadly…its all about the customer grab, but those that have already been grabbed largely are forgotten.

      • Totally agree…

I changed from pay monthly to prepay and the next day I signed back up for discount.

      • Super smart and savvy idea! Lol. Good on you!!

i originally did it to get a deal through pbtech but it wouldn't work at their end so i got a deal through 2degrees directly.
