Fyi: The price of Disney+ is increasing beginning on 08/12/22. Learn more at disneyplus.com/intlpriceinfo.

  • Awesome, only used my discount from the previous deal on Monday, so here we go again!

  • 150 Flybuys points is worth about $25, right? So this is spending $13 to get $25 which is OK but I'm not as keen as the last time round when it was spending $2 to get $50.

    • +1

Depends on how you convert those points. I always get 50L worth of fuel. 4 Flybuys = 3c per Litre. For 50L, this equates to a saving of $56.25

      • Same. Would definitely go with the fuel to get the best value.

  • Do you guys ever have problems with them not crediting these deals even though you go through the process?
Twice I had to contact the customer support team for both previous offers to get them to add the points manually.

Last time they asked if I used an adblocker (which I do) so might have something to do with that.

    • Yes. But if you have followed the steps correctly you can contact them.

      More discussions here

      • +2

Yeah I follow the steps exactly but still doesn't help.
They do credit me but it is a hassle having to do it each time.

    • +1

Yep, had to chase them up with the 300 points, and they didnt give me any extra either.
The previous 150 flybuys deal I did not have to chase them up.

Both times I used the same adblocker, so as suspected it has nothing to do with it.
I made sure I told them I didnt use an adblocker though, so they didnt find an excuse to get out of crediting the points.

      • Yeah me too.

I think the point is maybe if you have no adblocker it might log it correctly.

        • Just to clarify,
I had the exact same adblocker running when I signed up to the 150 flybuys and it logged correctly and credited points
without me having to do anything.

    • I have to chase them up for everything. Both Disney deals. The spend $40 on fuel to get x points a while back. No idea why it always seems to happen on my account

    • Yes and it was a hassle as they then needed a lot of extra info.

Be aware that for the last offer Disney kept charging me even though I had cancelled my subscription. My account status verified the cancelled status but they kept taking my money. Sorted it out eventually with online chat. I wonder how often this happens and people don’t notice the money leaving their cc account.

    • Most of them would be using virtual wise card like me, delete the card once done. Rinse & repeat no issues like this ever.

    • I also use a virtual card from Wise.com, so no way for a subscription to automatically renew without my explicitly agreeing to it.

  • I haven't even received my points from the last deal

      Better contact them….
I will save you some time this is what they asked me to do:

We're sorry to hear that you haven't received the bonus Flybuys for the Disney+ Offer.

If you can please reply to this email and provide us with the details below-
Flybuys card number used to sign up with:
      Email address registered with Disney+:
      Date of sign up:
      Subscription type (monthly or annual):
Channel used to sign up from (Flybuys email, Flybuys social media or Flybuys website/App):
What browser did you use to sign up?:
What device were you using at the time?:
Did you have Ad blocker on at the time of sign up?:
Please send your Disney+ sign up confirmation email to us at [email protected], add your Flybuys number in the subject line.

      • Thanks, I'll do that

  • Can you use a new email but the same Flybuys number as the previous deal or would it need to be a new flybuys account too?

    • Can someone clarify this one as I've only tried the Disney+ offer once as well. Can we sign up new customer on an account that we've redeemed a previous Disney+ fly buys promotions on before to get points?

  • I just received the email for this promotion and nowhere in the T&C does it state 'first time Disney+ subscribers only'.

It says "Offer valid only for eligible new and returning Disney+ subscribers" which means that if your sub lapsed last week and you renew today, you are a returning Disney+ subscriber and are eligible for the deal.

When it says "Cancelled, reactivated, or renewed current subscriptions will not be eligible to participate in this offer." I take that to mean that if you have a current live sub because you've reactivated it or it's auto-renewed, or your sub doesn't expire for a couple of weeks but you've cancelled your sub to stop autobilling (as most of us do) then you can't access this offer.

I might be wrong, but I don't think I am.

    • I read the terms the same way you did.

    • *Bonus Flybuys offer valid for new, first-time Disney+ subscribers only. Cancelled or renewed subscriptions will not be eligible to earn bonus Flybuys. One-off allocation of bonus Flybuys will be credited to your Flybuys account by Flybuys within 30 business days of offer end date. Terms and conditions apply.

      • People must have received different emails because mine says

Bonus Flybuys offer valid for eligible new or returning monthly Disney+ subscribers only who sign up to a new monthly subscription via Flybuys before 11:59 PM (NZDT) on Sunday 11 December 2022. Eligibility criteria and T&Cs apply.*

And here are the T&C included in the email that also mention returning customers being eligible and nothing about it being for first time subscribers only https://justpaste.it/81yc0

Maybe they're running 2 different targeted versions of the promotion?

        • They keep changing it. Looks like it's back to new and returning.

This morning prior to this post on Cheapies: new and returning
After this post was added: new only
Just checked now: back to new and returning

          • @Wakrak: If I look on the website right now it says for first time subscribers only just above the big blue Sign Up Now button.

I just received the email today at 3.13pm, clicked the link on the email that took me directly to the page where you enter your Flybuys number that then redirects you to the Disney+ site, so I never saw any other T&C apart from what were in the email.

I think I'm covered if Flybuys try not honoring the deal.

            • @[Deactivated]: Third paragraph under the blue sign up now button

Offer valid only for eligible new and returning Disney+ subscribers with a Flybuys account. Existing subscribers to Disney+ will not be eligible for the offer. To subscribe to Disney+ and create a new Disney+ account, you must be over 18+ years old, a New Zealand resident, and must provide valid payment details (credit card or PayPal account) to facilitate the renewal payment after the initial monthly Disney+ subscription expires. You will be required to accept the terms and conditions of the Subscription Agreement as a condition of subscribing to, accessing and using Disney+.

Maybe I'll keep it as new subscribers only for now to be safe.

              • @Wakrak: Yeah the conflicting terms on that page for the promo are confusing, both can't be correct.

I'd recommend to anyone who signed up after receiving the same email I did to keep that email just in case Flybuys try telling you you're not eligible for the 150 points because you're not a brand new Disney+ subscriber.
