Quilton 3-Ply 180-Sheet Toilet Tissue, 45 Pack A$25.88 + Shipping ($0 with A$49 Spend) @ Amazon AU

Since Quilton stopped manufacturing in NZ, the only 3-ply Quilton toilet paper available has been from Countdown or Fresh Choice for $18.50 for 24 rolls ($0.77/roll).

Amazon.com.au sell the entire range of Quilton, but shipping is usually stupidly expensive.
At the moment it seems to be free on the 45-pack (5 x 9-packs) if you spend $49 (to get free delivery I simply bought 2 packs).

They're AU$24.75, which becomes $25.88 once you add NZ's GST, but even after paying with an NZ credit card with the exchange rate and your bank's foreign exchange fee (2.5% with my Kiwibank visa) it works out to about $28.81/pack or $0.64/roll. The same number of rolls from Countdown or Fresh Choice would cost you $34.69.

I think Wakrak was onto this one a few weeks ago, surprising they have not fixed it yet for this product. A friend was also ordering softdrink(12x1.25L for $15 etc) with free shipping and they sent it, now costs $50+ lol.

    A few things.

    • Extra 10% off with subscribe and save.
    • It gets cheaper. Keep an eye on OzBargain. I paid A$41.58 for 90 rolls back in October
    • OzBargain product page
    • Another good item to keep an eye on are tissues. This deal for example
    • wow, will try to minimize the usage of current supply then and wait for that deal..

    • Does S&S lock in the deal or can they add shipping again/change the price with you still being subscribed?

      • +1

Once you place your order it's locked in.

S&S doesn't officially work for NZ addresses anyway, but we can still take advantage of the discount. As soon as you place your order (or sometime after), you'll get a message stating that there's an issue with your subscription. Simply find it and cancel it.

Thanks for this comment. I was trying to figure out why it was saying invalid address for s&s after i successfully placed an order using that same address.

  • was gunna post about this earlier today but might as well hop on the back of this
Got the price warning this dropped below $20 today:

Moccona 400g Jars - roughly $17.05 with sub and save
    https://www.amazon.com.au/Moccona-Freeze-Dried-Classic-Coffe…
    https://www.amazon.com.au/Moccona-Classic-Roast-Freeze-Dried…

    Moccona 500g Tin
    https://www.amazon.com.au/Moccona-Smooth-Coffee-Granulated-5…

    • Moccona 400g Jar was in my cart at AU$18 each before the black Friday sale, they put the price up and now dropped it again after the sale.

      • yeah $18 seems to be the new sale price used to be $16 - and tbf it's a common sale price at that but still good value to pad out an order for free shipping (especially since its included now since it wasnt for the longest of times

    • I ordered some 400g jars before and one of them arrived shattered. 1 was still in tact. Got a full refund so came out ahead I suppose. Makes you wonder why they don't add any bubblewrap.

  • Anyone knows if they arrive in a box or just the plastic packaging?

    • +1

      I might know.

      In plastic in a box.

      • Thanks

        • *In a box that looks like customs played soccer with it for 12 hours straight

    • +1

I ordered one last week and you can choose to ship in Amazon packaging at checkout so they should arrive in a box.

  • Oh wow, that's got to be an oversight, that shipping will not be cheap since the pack is so large. I keep looking for a paper towels deal like this but it isn't happening

    • Same boat. I’ve been checking for the last two months and have yet to a see a decent paper towel product have free shipping.

    • same here

  • +8

Want cheap toilet paper but the emissions from shipping these to NZ! (・_・ヾ)

    • My thoughts exactly. But then since they don't manufacture in here, the stuff from Countdown would be coming from AU and probably going through the same shipping route, I would imagine.

  • Are they selling Kleenex by any chance??? Missed those TP

    Thanks. Found these
Googys Apple Cinnamon Natural Paleo Protein Bar 12 x 55 g https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B082XYLQHC/ that might be a label or price error

    • Says 12 in the title but then says ‘ Number of items 1’ in product details hmmm

  • Thanks OP, picked up a couple of packs with the subscribe and save discount

  • Thanks OP, this should last me the few days after the xmas feast :)

For those in Auckland and have a Costco Membership the Kirkland brand is cheaper per sheet. No pun intended

    48 Rolls 270 sheets $39.99 $0.003086 per sheet

    • Yes, the Costco Kirkland brand sheets are wider and thicker as well. Hard to find it in stock though, always sells out quickly :D

  • It looks like they have removed this as wont let me check out

    • I can still order, but missing the subscribe and save option

      • +1

        Still there for me ($23.81).

        • Add to cart
        • Go to cart
        • Save 10% now with Subscribe & Save
  • @Wakrak - It then reduces to zero in cart when you got to check out. Well it does on the Amazon App.

    • If I add two to my cart after doing subscribe and save (on desktop), it comes down to NZ$49.78 delivered ($24.89 ea.) at checkout. It's $55.32 without subscribe and save.

  • Does anyone know if I select NZD as my currency, will the credit card still charge me convertion fee from AUD or just straight NZD?

    • +1

The NZD figure given will include all fees. In my experience, doing it that way costs more.

  • Anyone having issues with Subscribe & Save?

The order went through, but I quickly got an email saying my address needs updating.

Trying to update in the Subscribe & Save portal errors with: " We're sorry. We cannot ship your order to your selected destination. Please select an alternative address."

    • Cancel your subscribe and save subscription. Won't affect your current order. If you're concerned that it will, wait for your order to be sent and then cancel it.

      • I actually wanted to subscribe every 2 months, but I don't think it works for NZ.

  • Has any ones order actually shipped? I placed mine on the 1st december. Delivery is estimated as the 15th December but order has not shipped. Multiple orders that I placed before and after have shipped. I didnt order mine with the addition subscribe and save discount.

    • I placed an order on 2 December and it is yet to ship. When i ordered (along with other items) it said would ship 15 December and arrive 23 December. Hoping it arrives in time as i have ordered xmas presents

    • I ordered two in one order.
I received one a couple of days ago (shipped separately), I am still waiting on the second half of the order to ship.

      • What date did you olace your order? Ive just received an email today to say 1 of 2 has been shipped

        • 2nd December, the second half of the order has been shipped this afternoon

    • I've ordered on the 3rd Dec, received both packs yesterday in Amazon boxes. Fast delivery!

    • Order shipped just took longer than previous orders.

  • Mine delivered yesterday (Sunday). Gonna test it out now :)

  • I received notification today that my package would arrive by 8pm today, ive just returned home and cant see that its been delivered and the app still says out for delivery. Any one else had a similar experience? Original delivery date is meant to be 15 December

You can use the Tracking ID on the nzpost tracking page for better updates

    • +1

Couriers are struggling for a multitude of reasons and are seemingly constantly behind schedule. As Dunno suggested use the NZPost tracking facility for a more ‘accurate’ update.

Finally, a decent paper towel product can that be shipped to NZ for free with A$49 spend.

    OzBargain feedback:
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/749710

A$16.65 with S&S. A$2.08 per roll if you disregard the shipping costs. Maximum of two per order.

A few on OzB prefer Tuffy over Quilton when it comes to paper towels.

  • $22.70 via S&S (limit 2)

    • How do you get $22.70? In my cart its showing as $24.76 after s&s

      • +1

I must've been looking at a different ply/roll combo. Quite a few posted on OzBargain.
