    My first thought was ..how would this work and then read it only reads external temperature. Seems pointless for actual food.

      Hi, you could use it to measure the oven/pizza's temperature.

      Cats love them!

    • Also interesting to see temperature differences on flooring when sun shines through single flaze, double glaze, eco glass, argon filled glass etc.

      Used it to compare temp between tile/vinyl flooring.

      Used it to compare insulation level impacts of ceiling in summer. Not scientific but interesting.

  • Ordered, thanks OP.

    I have one of these thermometers. I use it in food manufacturing to check liquid and freezer temps. It works well and is very accurate.

  • can it be used in babies?

    • +1

      In babies? I wouldnt recommend using it IN babies.

      It will produce a temperature but as mentioned it wont be 100% accurate.

      2. The temperature reading points to an inanimate object, so the temperature measured for humans or animals will be incorrect;

      • dont get too caught to my misuse of prepositions haha, Im still learning

    I use this kind of tool to check the surface temperature of the pan/gridle, before putting the meat inside..
    Very handy.
