RT-AX86U Wi-Fi Router $369 Delivered @ Amazon AU + $50 Cashback from ASUS (Existing Eligible ASUS Router Required)

ASUS are offering cashback on various models of router, providing you already have an eligible ASUS router. Amazon also have cut the prices of some of these routers, giving some of the cheapest prices for these routers. PbTech also have sale currently.

Examples are:
RT-AX86U from Amazon $415 delivered + $50 cashback = $365 total.

ASUS ROG Rapture GT-AX6000 from PBTech $550.19 delivered + $100 cashback = $450.19 total.

The T&C of the deal are poorly worded, but my understanding is if you already own a router listed on the table (regardless of when it was purchased), and buy another one during the offer period (1st April 2023 to 31st May 2023) , then you will get the cashback value next to the new router.

  • Nice!. Contemplating this deal now whether it's worth upgrading from AC86U… Don't think I need it but nice to future proof the wifi at home.

At this price point, I wonder if it's better to get the AX6000 instead of the AX86U

    • Looks like the Amazon price is higher now.

Also the cashback doesn't help you if you don't have an existing Asus router in Table 1.

  • +1

I scored an AX58U on FB Marketplace for $50 - I'm guessing it was an ex-My Republic lease, they could be letting people keep them rather than return after contract so keep an eye out for more of these popping up.

    • I can't see anything that cheap, even the ac ones are like 100, how did you find it

      • +1

Like every good marketplace score, you have to refresh it constantly, look for recently posted stuff, and get lucky with someone that doesn't know the value of what they're selling. My score was listed as 'Asus WiFi modem $50' with no other detail, I recognised what it was from the photo

  • Really wish these big brands would start doing POE ports on their routers.
