  • Is the $50 worth it? Tempting tho

    • If you go to Starbucks it is. The $50 you just use for purchases later. I'll be extending mine!

      • +2

I always use the rewards like BOGOF, only then it's worth it.

    • I think it's great, plus if you order via the app you never have to wait in line

  • I was looking for this yesterday! thanks

  • Note: to earn 150 Stars you need to spend $75 under normal circumstances. If you trigger the birthday month condition it will be slightly less.

The 20 bonus Stars thing: will this still trigger if you don't re-up your Gold membership?

  • For those that got the last deal and then got dumped back to green, would a $50 top up elevate us back to the lofty status that is gold tier?

    • Yes! I just did it :)

  • Dammit. My current gold expires on the 13th of this month. I'll top up to extend gold but I'll miss out on the free drink.

    • apparently you get a free drink even if you're just extending your Gold

  • how much do you need to spend to get 150 stars?

    • It's 1 point for $1 spent so about $150.

In saying that, you will usually spend less to get to 150 points. Sometimes there's double points promotions, with half price promotions you'll get the full points as if you've paid full price, and after a purchase you may get an email about a short survey which will reward you with 10 points.

  • how to top up. I can not see any top-up option. Also, does this offer is for everyone? Is anywhere in Starbucks website does it says

    thanks

Took me a while to figure it out. Here’s how you can do it in the App:
1 Click cards icon at the bottom.
2 Click “edit” next to the account balance.
3 Click “reload” button. Alternatively you can use auto reload.

      • thanks Ethan, I found it. Does it says anywhere that after loading $50 I will change to gold member. I did not see any option.

        • It will show. You can log out and then log in again. I just got my free tall drink awhile ago. Hope this helps

        • Doesn't say anywhere in the app no but it will happen

  • Can I topup with a giftcard? Any place to get discounted starbucks giftcards?

    • "The $50 top up must occur in a single transaction. You cannot top up via a Starbucks Rewards Gift Card or eGift Card."

  • Excellent timing. Promo has showed up like clockwork every 12 months and I don't drink enough Starbucks to ever renew

  • Anyone had any luck signing up a NEW account and then top up $50 to get to gold membership this time?

    • yes I did this successfully
