The buttons do have a habit of failing after a couple of years on these… you can still use the charger, just can't change the mode.
Haven't tried this yet, but appears it may be an easy(ish) fix.
Mine failed after 4 1/2 years fortunately they have five-year warranty, and I got a full replacement.

Yep they should, I just received confirmation mine has been picked up from Matamata to be delivered to Northland.
This is the one I have but it came with a horrible backpack, a small black bag with a drawstring and a multi-tool, the new pouch looks way better than the backpack/pouch.
I'm pretty sure I paid way less when I bought it from pbtech, was around $60 I think…. a looonnnnggg time ago.

I killed a newish battery with one of those cheap warehouse units 😑. It doesn’t trickle charge when battery is full so don’t forget to turn it off the next day…
The smart chargers have multistage charging. Boost to charge flat, charge and trickle charge towards the end to prevent overcharging
Mine lasted 2 years before the buttons crapped out. Lesson learned to never buy ctek crap
They do have a five year warranty. I suppose the catch is you have to keep your receipt.

Question(s): (i) Would anyone 'attempt' to charge or maintain a Lithium battery on a MXS 5.0 / 7.0 and (ii) do CTEK do anything like the NOCO Genius 5 Battery Charger 6V/12V 5 Amp linked (below) that seems to charge both Lead and Lithiums and (iii) anyone have any experience of views on this NOCO unit (or 'dual capability' units like it) at all ?
