  • I need to do a backup/clone of my ssd and that $25 option looks a cheap way of doing it. My current SSD is 500gb but less than 200gb used, will I be able to use the 256gb to backup/clone the drive? My computer skills are very basic, I don't even know of how to do a backup but will research(its a laptop)

It will work as a one-off. Backup software usually compresses the image to smaller than original and free-space of the drive being backed up isn't counted.

Should be fine. Just use Macrium Reflect to do the clone, easy peasy.

Hard to take 1TB for $49 seriously after that last Seagate Nas deal.

      Missed out😭

      • I've seen a few people on Geekzone ask to buy one if people bought too many. Could do the same here? Never know.

ehh I'm not to worried I've got 5x 10TB's atm, I'll just wait for future deals but would have been nice to replace some of them.

      which one? I missed?

    • I think I took the last 12TB ironwolf on special, went back and it was back to original price.

  • Anyone have any opinions on Bio Star or Team Group being the better ssd?

    • +1

Team Group for me. Never heard about Bio Star

    • +1

TeamGroup has 5yr warranty vs Biostars 3yrs,

BioStar is a motherboard manufacturer thats decades old, looks like they've been expanding their product lines
