A Smart DNS spoofs your geo-location by routing your queries through a proxy server, while a VPN encrypts your traffic and routes it through a VPN server.
I use it for Kayo. VPN services are actively blocked by Kayo, but I'm able to watch it with a DNS service like dns4me.
Does Kayo stream the nrl in 4K?
here is some info to configure it on a device (all you doing is changing the dns address so all requests you do is served by them)

DNS Geounlocker. If you don't need data encryption the DNS Geounlocker is the way to go. BBC iPlayer, Aussie Channels, Peacock, CW etc… are all watchable without VPN speed limits & I've been a happy DNS4Me customer for 2yrs+.
So this is basically just a proxy?
I don't see how this has any advantages over a VPN. If the service you're trying to use blocks the VPN, then it's only a matter of time before they start blocking the lesser known services like these.
Why not just use Psiphon? I've used this in many companies and bypassed their firewall restrictions plenty of times. Either this, or use Shadowsocks or Cloudflare Pages as a bypass - https://github.com/tina-hello/doh-cf-pages
Its a good service and they have good support when a website doesn't work.
Is this a VPN service? It's not saying it is or it isn't.
