The Wellington City Council has agreed on a plan for cheap holiday bus travel. It will be $1 for 1 Zone (Normally $2 Cash / $1.66 Bus Snapper/Smartcard) and $2 for 2-3 Zones (Normally $5/$3.63), for travel on the weekends on Go Wellington Buses. The intuitive starts November 28 and finishes December 20.

  • You can pay the fare by cash or Snapper Card.
  • Excludes after midnight services, Airport Flyer, Valley Flyer, Mana and Tranz Metro Services.

No official announcement other than today's newspaper but a good deal to get into town farely cheaply.

    Shame it doesn't include the Mana/Newlands buses that cover the north half of Welly.

        Yeah they are, shame the council didn't subsidise them aswell

          Maybe the company/ies themselves could bite the bullet and take part, but that's probably too much to ask.
