  • Great price for a decent 1TB SSD. Thanks OP.

  • Nice! now I just need some cheap 2x 3pack argb fans with hub

  • Does the address trick work? It seems they don't want to deliver to NZ…

    1. Why can’t NZ customers sign-up to Prime AU?
Amazon’s AU Prime membership is only available to AU residents since shipping benefits is only available to domestic addresses.

it seems billing addy needs to be aus too
I left the billing as my sister's and and checkout select my nz addy

      • Very disappointing that Amazon Australia decided to cancel NZ from primeday because of this so called 'shipping benefits' excuse.

Even outside prime day the shipping cost is $0 anyway, and Amazon could have simply excluded New Zealand customers from primeday shipping benefits , whatever they might be.

i was able to make it work

          • @pinch: I'll have a go. Will be interesting to see if they ship to NZ when they find out this loophole.

          • @pinch: have you tried it again now?

it was working before but doesn't seem to now.

            • @Huntakillaz: Just went to check out and it still works but maybe its cause I already got the free trial

              • @pinch: Nah somethings weird af is happening.
Whenever i added it to cart and went to checkout the Sold By would be blank for NZ addy's

I just managed to put the order through again

Here's something to try, I can't guarantee it'll work coz I was playing around trying different ways for the past 15mins:

So put the nvme into the cart and then goto cart ,
now if you change the addy up top where its got the location icon and says "Deliver to New Zealand" and select you nz address
it should come up with a tick saying "Your order qualifies for free International Delivery"
from here don't change the address on the next screen it should be correct already you should then be able to place the order

Doesnt work with ps5 just incase people wondering not pro version

I've had this drive for like 1.5 years or so, as well as 2x Samsung 860 EVO's. The drive health dies pretty quick compared to my WD blue drives which I've been using for about 5-6 years and are still in perfect condition.
Still good drives, but Samsung do have an issue with their drive's degrading quicker than others

    • Replaced under warranty?

      • +1

They just degrading faster than my other ssds, it's not a warranty case (unless you have one of the actual samsung ssd's which were in the news recently for extreme degradation). e.g. my WD blue is still at 100%, one of my Samsung EVO's is down to 94% with less than a third of the use/read/write time.

    • Comes up $233 nzd for me. Do you need prime?

Nevermind I re-read the title. Sometimes pays to read, who knew?

  • I don't know if they have changed their Prime process or it's just people are using mobile or I just got lucky. But for me it wasn't that difficult to sign up for Prime. When I clicked on the signup for Prime I was directed to a page to signup

    https://www.amazon.com.au/hp/wlp/pipeline/membersignup

That page had my "billing" address on it. If I tried to signup with my default NZ one it failed because of my address.

There was an error with your submission. The address information you provided is either missing or invalid; you will require a local billing address to sign up for Prime in Australia. Try again to complete your sign up.

So I just clicked on the button to change the address on that signup page to an Australian one I already had (I had added a fake one before just to help me when testing prices etc) and then clicked the "Start your 30-day FREE trial" button again and it worked.

While I didn't try it, there was even an option to add an address after I clicked change so assume I could have just added an Australian address in the signup page if I didn't already have one. I did not have to change my default address or anything elsewhere other than the address shown on the signup page. (I did later when trying something else but my address was still NZ before that. Note that none of this affected my card details etc.)
