Extra credit just tested as working, got $70 all up on a new account thanks to this and sign-up referral.

    COMFORT - $10
    FIRSTRIP - $10
    AIRPORT - $10

    • Thanks for those codes.

'FIRSTRIP' didn't work, assumed it was a typo for 'FIRSTTRIP' which worked.

      • Whoops, yep you are correct, thanks for catching that.

    • Nice! Thanks, any idea on how long the extra credits are valid for?
      Cheers!

All three of those expire on the 27th, so just 2 weeks, but they've been active for ages so you could hold off redeeming for a while I think.

The referral is good for a month, matariki code until 31st Dec as Stoic mentioned.

Try EXPERIENCE and NIGHT as well. I have them in my credit log but not sure if they are still valid.

NIGHT was successful, another $10 credit valid for 2 weeks. Thanks!

      • Not familiar with their service and fees, is it worth it for say going to the airport ? what are ideal uses ?
        I see their charges as

        Mevo Flex Extras
        $9/pre-booking surcharge

Pre-arrange a trip using Mevo Flex Collect in-app, and your selected Mevo will be available for you at your chosen date, time, and location.
        $30/airport surcharge

Take your Mevo one-way between the city and our dedicated Auckland Domestic Airport parking. Click here for details and directions.

I probably wouldn't use it for a one-way airport trip myself since the one-way fee is something like $30. But if an Uber was going to be more than $50 then it would be worth it I suppose. I have used them to pick someone up from the airport, which works well because they don't charge for mileage like Cityhope does. They will also only charge you for the time you actually use it (to a point), though once you've had it for about 20 or so minutes, you may as well just keep it for the rest of the hour. Also, after 6pm, you only get charged for 2 hours no matter how long you have it (until like 6am the next day) and you don't get charged for gas (same as Cityhop) so if you split with a friend it's a cheap car for the night.

One thing I kind of dislike about it is that the flex zone is based in the city centre and sometimes it is ridiculously hard to find a legal place to park it when you are done. There are specific 'share car' parks but they are frequently already taken by other Mevos or Cityhops, or just regular people who don't seem to care they aren't supposed to be parking there.

I've never had an issue finding a car to rent, and I have never booked in advance. You can reserve a car for 30 mins in advance which I find is good enough for me since there's always a few to choose from. The most common is the MG crossover SUVS, then you get a few volkswagon polos or fancier cars that I am too cheap to pay for. They have some electric options for a bit more per hour.

With all $80 credit if you're a new user you could definitely get a free trip to the airport out of one of the cheaper cars. Make sure to account for the $30 one way charge for airport drop off though.

You definitely don't need to reserve in advance unless there's a very specific car you want, you can hold 30 min in advance for free.

I tried for the first time this weekend, only thing that was a bit weird feeling was that it didn't show a usage statistic for what you'd be charged - I ended up unlocking the car at 6:01pm and finishing the night at about 1:30am, and it successfully charged just the overnight rate, but without letting me know that was the 'plan' I was on. I guess it pays to keep your eye on usage pretty closely if you're wanting to keep it to shorter periods of time.

  • When is the last date to input this code please? Wanna share with mates but don't know if its already expired

  • MATARIKI isn't working for me as of today (10 August) so maybe it's been pulled.
