I find Midea spare parts are very expensive. $40 for a rubber gasket for electric cooker.
My partner gor midea pressure cooker from China for 35 NZD we got extra pots for about 10 ish NZD and silicon gasket for 3 NZD something
Is Midea stuff any good? I get the feeling that this cheaper brand is really just more landfill - I'm thinking the whole "can't afford to buy a cheap one" thing - but I've never bought anything of theirs and don't know anyone who has. Do things last? Are they reasonable quality? Are they quirky or hard to use? Are there any other gross generations you can make about the brand as a whole? Last time I looked I couldn't even find any really good clearly unbiased reviews for Midea stuff. TIA
Probably depends what you're buying. I think I watched a video on their microwaves a few months back with this attitude and turns out midea was spitting out microwaves for half of the big name brands with different stickers so figured they do know how to make a good one, it's just whether they made theirs good.
Ultimately we stuck with the one we have so can't comment on if they are actually good.
I'm pretty certain that there's like one or two factories in China spitting out the world supply of microwaves, and everyone just rebadges them. At least that's what I've heard, I've not really investigated it myself.
I bought their fridge once but sold it after a year. I would never buy the fridge from them again. Something wrong with the temperature control either too cold or not cold enough. I am using the 5L rice cooker I bought from Trade Depot a year ago. The quality is not good. The paints fell within a year. However, the electrician told me the cheap Midea heatpump is better than other Chinese brands like Gree.
