No one in the system at the moment

  • Looking at the linked page URL in WaybackMachine, this appears to be a long-running deal since at least October 2021.

  • Did anyone who signed up to the ASB kiwisaver a few months ago get their $100 for signing up as per https://www.cheapies.nz/node/40510 ?
I didn't get it and have contacted them about it as that is really poor that you have to chase them up for it.

    • I got mine today - didn't have to chase them up. If I remember rightly, the terms and conditions said the money would go in July 31.

probably more than that in fees difference over a year

    • Yeah their fees aren't exactly competitive.

      • Checking their fees, they look better than my current ASB provider. But all of these kiwisavers providers fees look far too high considering the growing amount in peoples accounts. They shouldn't really be charging a % anymore but a fixed monthly fee.

        • Juno charge a monthly fee, I did see a thread about juno fees on reddit that wasn't exactly impressed with the monthly fee but I'm with them.

    • Yip. Would be pretty unwise to join a Kiwisaver provider based on a $100 sweetener

Unless you do it multiple times a year to get the deals.

        • plus potential to get referrals from friends signing up.

  • I think some peoples referrals codes may not be right as some have brackets around them and some don't. Is there a format the referrers URL should be in? Is there a way to know that the referral code has been successfully applied or not?

    • It looks like the referral code is automatically added to the promo code box in the Tax/Other section of the join page when you click on the random-referral link from this page. If there's a code in there then I'm sure it will go through with the rest of the information.

  • If you use code 'WINTER' before the 31st of August, you can get $106 top-up on your KiwiSaver account.

    • Where are the details on that?

I notice that teh deal at https://www.amp.co.nz/kiwisaver and use the promo code on that page, they send you a $100 giftcard, which is potentially better than the deal posted here, otherwise the $100 gets credited to your kiwisaver, which you can't use until either retirement or first home withdrawal.
