These guys started up last week with a bang and a roar, and some people have been waiting a bit for their orders.

I, however, received my box in excellent time and full of amazingly priced and awesome quality veg. Am stoked to see that week 2 is bringing more good deals, although not quite as good as last week's.

On expiry date - I'm making an assumption about pricing and deals lasting the week, given last week their specials lasted the whole week also.

Had a great experience with them - hopefully they stick around.
From what I’ve heard, the family’s core objective is to make fruit and veg more accessible to everyone, which is why the margins are so low.

My 2 x boxes arrived within 24 hours and the quality was amazing, The bananas were a mushy but you can't complain for .23c a kg! they just end up in a smoothie anyways!

    • did you pay 2x delivery for 2 boxes?

      • +1

We ordered a large amount of veg (shared an order with neighbour), it required two boxes but we only paid for delivery once.

      • no, I ordered so much it come in two boxes, was a flat $7 delivery fee

Mine arrived today from last week's order, everything was in excellent condition. Will definitely order again!

  • I ordered last Thursday, it was delivered at 8pm on the Friday - really appreciated them sorting out a delivery on a Friday evening. Great quality produce.

  • Ordered from them Saturday and the box arrived Sunday evening. Fantastic prices! Shared to my partner's mommy group and they all ordered. haha

  • Ordered today before they locked the website. CC have been charged, so hopefully they fulfill the order.

    • Received today around 2pm and they all look fresh and good. Probably going to be a repeat customer if the specials are good

  • I was about to add avos to my cart but saw that they are cheaper at paknsave at 59c ea
    https://www.paknsave.co.nz/shop/product/5028110_ea_000pns?na…

    • The ones at my local paknsave is smaller ymmv

5pck for $2 is still better pricing, but yeah, if all you are ordering for is the avos then you're probably better saving the delivery fee and buying from pns.

  • What time do they reset the ordering for the day

    • Good News: Our website will be back online again, ready to accept fresh orders at 12 Noon 26/09/2023.

      Looks like noon daily

  • Ordered on 23 SEP and fulfilled on 24 morning. No signature required. They left the parcel in the front door. Box was opened and resealed. After opening checking, green kiwifruit 1kg was missing. Tried to contact them via website or email. No replies until now. Anyone with same encounter?

    • +1

I'd give them a bit of grace… they will sort out the missing kiwifruit. They've just been absolutely swamped and are working to catch up, which is probably why you haven't heard from them yet. They've literally just opened and everyone in Auckland knows about them now hahah.

Made an order yesterday afternoon and arrived this morning - super quick.
Box arrived sealed but missing just 1kg of onion. Have emailed them and will see what kind of response i get.
Happy with everything else in the order, all looks fresh and large size - better than a typical supermarket shop

      • 5 minutes after sending the email, i've received an email to say I have been refunded for the missing onions. Will monitor my CC as know it can take some time to process

Have received the refund for the onions

  • Bugger. 3pm and I think I was the 301st customer. Someone beat me to the checkout :(

    • It was full at 12.09pm just after I ordered.

      • Oh it let me put stuff in the cart and only told me it was full after I tried to checkout. Previously it went straight to the "full" page and didn't show me anything else. So I assumed I got close. Maybe not

  • Ordered today thanks for cheapie deal

  • Do keep an eye on the parcel.
My first one was delivered to the door but todays one was left at the letterbox.
Would have been nice to dump it further up the driveway.
    The contents were correct.

    • Jeepers. I'd send a complaint through to them so that doesn't happen to anyone else. Really poor form on that delivery.

I ordered 1pm yesterday and received my box around 11am today - spent $40 and got the freshest fruit and veges. Will definitely use again.

  • I have a tear in my eye ;) Ordered my first box.
Local countdown has gone off the rails.

  • Do they have a referral system? I just saw a box and I'm happy to say the box is amazing, super full, and delivered, for $40.

I want to sign up but happy to do under referral to reward current users if there's such a system.

  • Very impressed with this service, less than 24 hours between order placed and delivered. Great quality produce. Hopefully this is sustainable, because it feels a bit "too good to be true"

    • It's definitely cheaper now to get uptake. But will still be cheaper than supermarkets.

  • We placed an order a couple of days ago; arrived as expected yesterday. Was pretty good, all good quality, well packaged. However a full pumpkin was switched out for a slice, and was missing some fruit. We have contacted them and they are arranging a refund so all good in terms of cost impact.

I do hope they sort out these issues, as it is pretty frustrating to order something and not get it, only to have to go out to the shops to get what you actually ordered/needed in the first place. Sort of defeats the purpose of it in the first place. Hopefully its teething issues.

We will continue to support and will order again to see how things work out. :fingersrossed

A shame about the mistakes in your order, it is definitely frustrating.

I do think it's probably teething issues. They've been completely overwhelmed and weren't prepared for that much interest, from what I've read. They're also onboarding a bunch of new staff to cope with demand, so that may also be contributing.

In all fairness to them, places like countdown etc make mistakes with orders all the time as well.

Agree, hope they get things running smoothly, I really want them to stick around and throw a spanner in the works for the duopoly.

      • Yep, I felt sorry for their driver as his van was totally jam packed when he dropped off my order.

This is a new company that is already running at capacity, so I would expect some mistakes to be made.
