Over in PC land there are freebies on Epic, there are Steam sales and there are other options like Humble Bundle etc.

I watchlist games on Amazon AU, wait for them to go on sale, buy and play them, then resell on TradeMe. Most of the time I make money, or sell for a few dollars less than the initial purchase price (that's including the success fees too so you could just wait for a free selling weekend). Either that or I just buy games on TradeMe when a bargain appears. Makes for cheap gaming!
While there are a couple of sales of ps5 games (e.g. Assassin creed ragnarok: https://www.noelleeming.co.nz/p/ps5-assassins-creed-valhalla…), I can't comment on the freebies.
Curious though, how did you manage to get $669 disc edition?
