  Same reaction as Databitz and kiwijunglist - this seems really expensive.

  Can anyone find a better deal than Databitz's $13 pm for 2GB RAM and a dedicated IPv4 (could be only 2vCPUs, and maybe only 25GB disk or thereabouts)? I am looking for a client currently who wants to 'dip their toe' in with a VPS for the first time, so looking for fairly low end, but no less than 2GB of RAM.

      Still seems a high price to pay for the extra services though, but there might be some out there that would go for it.

      What are your prices without those added extras (so comparable products to, say, ZappieHost), for those that just want a basic VPS with backups included?

        They've failed to get across the value of it being a "managed" service. It's certainly worth more than an unmanaged equivalent, and does take a lot of the headache away from self managing, but they've just sort of posted this as if it was any other VPS deal and expected everyone to understand what they're offering. Whether it's a good deal or not, that's another question, but it is a different product to an unmanaged VPS.

            Yes, its not possible to provide everything in just $7nzd. For managed cpanel yes backup plan is included, no need to pay seperately.

              Seems to be throwing an additional obstacle in the path of making a sale?

                  Yes - it is included in the price, so the full cost is disclosed up front (for clients that want the provider to handle backups).

        No backup included on basic vps plan, i already mentioned before in my previous replies no need to pay seperately for backup in managed cpanel vps plan.

        And i think this time i posted about managed cpanel vps on cheapies.

    I get a '403 access denied' on that link - it seems to be related to somehow editing your own profile, which makes sense I cannot access it?
