haha yeah and its $1 less now

  • I suspect trying to offload stock

    • Aren't they always trying to sell this? I remember there was some air fryer they kept advertising on last year's boxing day and think it was this. (Because their website was/is? crap and shows the advertising popup every time you open a page even if you'd already seen it it was quite annoying.)

      • I think that was the double draw version of this… however i remember what you are sayinf!

Is the instant pot one from amazon better? https://www.cheapies.nz/node/43175
It looks nicer and seems to go on sale often

    • Instant pot one is bigger and has more features. Don't own either, just looking at the specs.

Brabantia one says 360c heating. I don't think that's correct, haven't seen any air fryer with that high temps.

      • I think it's meant to be 360 deg heating - ie it heats evenly all around (not 360 deg celcius!).

        • I thought so as well. But this is so wrong

          360°C heating

Edit: Looking at photos, it shows 180 which might be the highest temp. In that case instant pot has 205 which is better.

          • @ace310: They have definitely stuffed up the specs.
Here's the same air fryer on Amazon
            https://www.amazon.com.au/Brabantia-Digital-Air-Fryer-5-5L/d…

The product description on there states "*Efficient 360 degrees heating with vortex heat flow for even cooking". No mention of celcius.

@bigcheese: Nothing new for Briscoes. Have seen it many times.

I have philips air fryer for more then 3 yrs now and very happy with it. Just simple temp control, but that's fine for my use case.

Looking at this thing compared to other air fryers it's obviously pure trash like all the other brabantia products. Who in their right mind would have paid 400$ when this does nothing every single 100$ air fryer doesnt do.

    • Other airfryers don't have 360°C heating /s

    • they were $400 before? I have a similar one that works great for only $50.

  • Bought one from the last deal for $89 love it. Confirming 200c max. Have cooked chips, frozen chicken portions, pork chops, potatoes. Goes well and does what it should, no complaints. 2 year warranty btw.

  • Got one for the work kitchen. It’s pretty average compared to the one I have at home.

I just love the picture of it stuffed full of brocoli. Things nobody ever cooks in air fryers

I cook broccoli - it's great with a bit of soya and chilli flakes for 8 mins - the edge get all crispy. : )
