Oil price has been tanking so likely prices coming down

  • Even on the 1000L discount of 5%, still not as cheap as Costco.

  • Where did you see this advertised? Never got an app notification.

  • I'm pretty low on sharetank at the moment. What is the cheapest Z 91 around the country now? Think I got a notification about they will rolling out new app to replace Z & Z 2.0 very soon, possibly try to crack down all the spoofing activities?

      $2.549 at Napier.
Might be worth topping up now then? 😂
Also did the Z 2.0 app get rid of the free coffee referral code?

      • It's got no price confirmation though. I have an automation that checks the cheapest 91 and 95 for all Z stations on Gaspy. Cheapest 91 is Bethlehem with 1 price confirmation and the next cheapest is Te Kuiti with 5 price confirmations.

        • So do I, with email alerts.

Would be better to try and use the z app data instead

          • @dryburn: Probably, but you'll need a way to sort through all that data in the Z app. Not sure if there's API for it.

I currently just use Gaspy to show all the Z stations (91 and 95) and use UI automation on my phone to check what is the cheapest one for 91 and for 95 respectively, with price target defined for sending out alerts, as well as check for price confirmation count > 1. The alert can be sent out via SMS or webhook or email.

            • @NovaAlpha: Always interested to learn what's out there. What's the name of the UI automation?

              • +1

@dryburn: MacroDroid. You can also use Tasker as well, but I prefer MacroDroid. I used to run my automations using Selenium and Puppeteer on raspberry pi, but I found MacroDroid on Android to be much simpler to manage. Easy backup and restore, it's just a really nice well rounded app that does everything I need, including running shell scripts etc. I have about 150 automations on there.

        • Used this https://github.com/cory-evans/gaspy as the base for what I built

        • What is the price for Bethlehem & Te Kuiti? Thanks. Are you guys buying now or think fuel price gonna coming down?

        • Look like Bethlehem is 255.9 & Te Kuiti is 257.9

Might as well @Sharetank Dude to this post lol

  • Today Christchurch is 91 - $2.599, 95 - $2.789 and D- $1.989

    • How did you get 2.599, can you share which station please? I've checked my Z App and it's 2.639

      • Not sure what station, I'm in CHCH CBD, I think it is likely Z Rangiora :)

  • Just a note, the original Z app will not be available from the 11th of March 2024, so 2.0 version must be used from that date.

    • Just got the email, I got notification yesterday from Z 2.0 app ask me to get the new Z app, tot it will be the 3.0

      • Anyone had any luck getting the 2.0 app to work with Bluestacks? I can’t find it in the App Store on there.

  • NPD Christchurch 91 $2.366/L, is this a sign oil price coming down?
