    Need some sweet Samsung deals

Very funny, but apple is going to implement RCS on its text platform soon.

      • It’s still green

Gift cards expire at 2 months is quite quick.

The Samsung stores not too bad. Anyone got any stacking codes? I only can get to work the $100 pre-order code.

  • +2

on EPP store its bit cheaper with the $100 off code plus if you trade in your s23 ulltra 512GB total comes to $871.65
On normal samsung site, you can use the $100 off code , also you can get another 10% voucher from samsung members benefits and with the trade in as above it comes to $937ish

both prices are for s24ultra 512gb

    • the education store didnt let me use the $100 code on the S24

      • It doesnt subtract the $100 off on EPP also but adds the free xtras, charger, case and screen protector

      • How much is the 512GB S24 on the Education Store? Cheers.

        • +1

$1484.10 before the $100 discount for the resale + any trade in value

    • I shouldn't be tempted, pretty sure I can handle another year on the S22+ before wanting/needing to change. It's got a good few years of software updates in it and runs fine for now.

Interestinf that Samsung offers trade in on Google phones now that aren't even sold here.

  • +2

NZNY2024 is for $100 off for purchases over $1000 - valid until 22/1/24

    • Thanks!

  • From my personal code stacking I got the main store to be cheaper than the EPP education store. S24 Ultra 512gb for $1708 vs $1964 on EPP (using S8 as trade in).

Regretting not getting S23 Ultra on Black Friday deals, especially when AMEX had $100 credit back.

    • Which codes? I’ve got the 10% members code, preorder sign up code and the NY code

      • did the NY code work with preorder ??

      • Yes these are the 3 codes, then remainder of discount is for tradein as described.

        • It would be good to try using those 3 codes first before adding trade-in

it is $2014 before and $2104 after trade-in my S9……….

      • Mind to share how did you get the 10% members code, I try the live chat and have no luck.

    • Codes please

      • +3

10% members (individual code for each)
Preorder Signup (individual code for each)
        NZNY2024

        • Hello, where would you get this code for 10% members (individual code for each)?

          • @Mico: Samsung Members App (or ask you may be able to ask for one from live chat)

            • @therealestgee: Tried just then but: Sorry we don't give out 10% discount code at the moment. And would love to give you one if only we have it.

              Anyone tried today and worked?

        • Hey, where did you get the Preoder Signup code from?
          Thanks!

          • @anujtuteja1993: Believe you had to register before it released!

          • @anujtuteja1993: Yeah pretty sure it's a code you have to sign up before release to get.
Ask around to see if anyone got one and decided not to go ahead with the new S24s.

          • @anujtuteja1993: Are you still wanting the code? Could you please send me a message if so.

    • How did you get it to $1708? 3x code stacks get me to $2014 and I can see the s8 trade in price is $290. So only gets to $1724 for me.

      • s8 trade in is 340 for the ultra including trade in boost - are you looking at the ultra?

        • Nice - I didn't realise until later that they give you more for Ultra - it works out to be only $290 difference between s24+ and Ulta. No brainer here.

Long time reader, first time poster. If anyone has a spare preorder code then I'd love to get myself a little more off a new phone.
      Thanks.

  • NZNY2024 doesn't actually work, with the predorder code. only $100 gets subtracted

    • +2

      Worked for me

    • Make sure your total is over $1000, can't stack all 3 codes on a base S24 as the total is under $1000 unfortunately.

      • What other codes are you using to get the s24 below $1000?
Using the 3 mentioned codes, mine is $1294

        • +1

Oh sorry, that was including trading in my old S22.

  • Noel Leeming offer.

S24 ultra. Bonus Galaxy watch 6 classic BT 47mm and single wireless charger pad.

S24. Bonus buds2pro and dual wireless charger pad.

2 degrees bonus. $300 off interest free, if signing onto a $60/mo plan with the first 6mo discounted to $30/mo.

FYI the non-Ultra models will be using Exynos 2400 instead of the Snapdragon Gen3 for Galaxy.

    • +1

That's a bummer didnt all the S23s in NZ have snapdragons? Its was the first time that happened as we normally get all Exynos processors.

      • S22 had Snapdragon I believe as well. People in the UK were very upset when they got Exynos chips.

      • Yeah I think all S23s were Snapdragon Gen2 for Galaxy.
My main concern is the battery life with the Exynos.
In terms of performance, I think they did some catch up which is good to see.
I was tossing between S23 or the S24. At the end, even the Exynos would out perform Snapdragon Gen2 for Galaxy (as they should) and I was sold by the 512gb capacity. (Not a fan of the bigger S24+, I prefer the small footprint of S24)

        FYI:

      • I'm keeping a keen eye on the POCO X6 Pro with the new Dimensity 8300 Ultra. The 12GB RAm 512GB storage is selling for ~640NZD (incl. taxes). You'll only get it early march though if you order now via Aliexpress.

    I got $2239.10 for the S24 ultra 1tb using 3 codes (pre-registration $100, NZNY2024 $100, and 10% code). This doesn't include any trade-in

    • You might be better off going for the 512gb and then using the free double storage upgrade connected to the pre-registration $100 email to bump it back up to 1tb, should save you a fair few $$.

      • Just tried it, the pre-registration code doesn't double my storage (the email said it should). It only takes off $100 and adds 1 year accidental damage protection. Any tips?

    Titanium Blue, 512 GB

    Trade-In
    GALAXY S23 ULTRA 5G
    Total discount applied: $1,210.00
    (Trade-in estimated value: $960.00)
    (Trade-in boost: $250.00)

    Galaxy SmartTag2 - 1 Pack White
    $39.79

Samsung Care+ 1 Year Accidental Damage

Galaxy S24 Ultra Anti-Reflecting Screen Protector Transparent
    FREE

Galaxy S24 Ultra Silicone Case Dark Violet
    FREE

    45W Power Adapter Black
    FREE

    Total (inc GST)
    $924.20

Used 10% off from Samsung app, $100 pre-order and the NZNY2024 code. The NZNY2024 code didn't intially work when the total was $980 so I added the SmartTag2 to take it over $1000 then the code worked and took the total to $924.20.

    • Great buy! Were you able to choose case etc or were those freebies allocated to you?

      • +3

is it really great to upgrade to this years phone for $924?

      • Cant change the case colour. I added a different one to see if I could delete the free one and get it free, but wasnt able to delete the free one at all.

@Kendo probably not! I didn't submit the order, just checking the price etc.

  • if you're buying through Samsung.com you get a free 25w charger w/ S24 or a 45w w/ S24+/Ultra, but only if you buy the online exclusive colours.

  • Does anyone not wish to use their pre-release discount code? I signed up and got a confirmation email that my e-voucher was on the way however I didn't get the actual code. Already contacted Samsung e-store but so far no response.

    • +2

Try to contact their chat on the website and provide screenshots. Good luck!

      • +1

Thanks - I've tried a few different contact methods but so far no luck (i.e. phone call, chat, email). Apparently they've escalated it and now we wait.

Does cheapies have direct messaging? Didn't find it

          • @funti: Just checked - it needs to enabled in the account settings under messages. I'd be very grateful!

  • Makes me laugh how including a charger is now a $50 bonus, every phone I've bought so far came with a charger included. I guess the general public aren't very intelligent and drop $2k on a phone with junk add ons valued at <insert inflated value here>

    • +1

What's stupid is they keep bundling them in, part of the driver of removing them was to reduce cost and ewaste. I have almost no use for yet another charger so would prefer to be able to swap it out for something else.

Samsung accessories are ridiculously priced though, all cases I've purchased and wireless car chargers have all broken far faster than much cheaper equivalents from Ali express. I don't know who's actually buying anything from them at full price.

      • Brought a few cases from Temu for my iPhone and Samsung for around $10, excellent quality.

        • It's molded silicon, it's hard to get wrong, but Samsung ones feel apart after 4 months. The wireless car charger support legs snapped after 2 weeks. AliExpress replaced them all for about $5 a piece and they are working 18 months later for a fraction of the price.

What got me was Samsung's store is just a headache to deal with. $120 that car charger is meant to cost (we paid much less using vouchers and rewards) and it broke in days, then took 4 months to get them to agree to look at it under warranty. $5 replacement mounting mechanism fixed it so I've never bothered pursuing the return as other than the legs it's ok. Again, over a year on the AliExpress legs are still rock solid.

Anyone checked out the Amazon AU deal with $200 promo credit?
    https://www.amazon.com.au/SAMSUNG-Android-Smartphone-Storage…

    • +1

It doesn't include import taxes etc etc so when you check out you'll get a bit of a price shock.

Not the usual Amazon AU pricing style where you pay what you see.

      • Plus the foreign exchange charge by the bank,

      • As this is sold by Amazon AU, the price should be GST inclusive?
"Prices for items sold by Amazon AU and third party sellers include NZ GST (if applicable). For items sold by Amazon Global Store, NZ GST will be calculated at checkout."

Would anyone have a spare pre-order code they could pm me? I registered at the start of this month & have not received anything. It probably wouldn't even work because I registered on the US website :(

  • I m keen to order from samsung website, does anyone has a spare samsung fan voucher code?

    Thanks

  • Keen for a code. Mine was never sent out :(

  • +2

I got the Galaxy S24 Ultra (Online Exclusive) Titanium Green, 512 GB for $1914.1 with no trade in.

If you use Q card or Laybuy they provide an additional $100 off your purchase, 10% off from Samsung app, $100 pre-order and the NZNY2024 code.

    • Nice catch on the laybuy discount, just used it for the base model S24.

      • Kiwiwallet also gives cashback on the Samsung store.

    • Hi. How do you get the $100 on laybuy or Q Cards. I don’t see such offers on either and I use both

      • When you go to pay select layby (or Q card etc.), and the $100 will come off then.

    • Can't use laybuy with a trade in, lame.

  • I think the public Samsung Store has the best offer. Assuming no trade-in, the price is $1294, for that you get free upgrade to 512gb, case, screen protector, charger.

Alternatively if you are really price sensitive, the 256gb Harvey Norman option is best for $1099 after the $550 gift card, assuming you can burn it within 60 days.

  • Anyone able to DM me pre registration dc code please!

  • Really want to get S24 ultra, but not sure if I want to drop $1300 for a phone upgrade.

    S24 Ultra - 512GB - $1343.60
Free screen protector / silicon case / 45W charger / 1 year samsung care.

    Trade in Discount - $745.00 (S22 - 256GB)
    Other Discount - $935.39 (codes)

    ($2014 without trade-in)

  • Anyone thinking of holding out further? I'm trying to do the maths of current vs potential future offer:

    Let's say 256gb S24U phone for $2,449 retail…

Samsung offers $500 trade in boost
There's another $200 of vouchers somehow with codes etc (e.g. at least 10% members plus some other offer like NZNY2024)
Then less your trade in value of current phone (YMMV)

And we are still at the current prices, but at the moment we are getting the double storage option.

    • Yes, as soon as you trade in, you lose the hundred dollar Layby discount as well.

      • Explain how you lose the layby discount when you trade in?

        • When you pay at check out with layby it automatically discounts $100, but if you added a trade it does not appear. Same thing happened last time when the flip and fold phones were launched, layby was offering 10% at checkout but not with a trade-in.

    • Yea, these deals are underwhelming. I'll probably wait for a good S23 deal

      • Yep, the AI is a joke and marketing blur. It's just software that is only put on S24 model to try and reinvent the wheel.
