Bonus 1000 Everyday Rewards Points for Downloading the App and Signing In @ Everyday Rewards (Woolworths)

1360

I spied this on the new Everyday Rewards website (the new Woolworths/Countdown rewards programme replacing OneCard). 1000 free points just for downloading the app and signing in to your account. I tried this out and the points added immediately. An easy way to get halfway to a $15 voucher!

There are also a few other bonus points on offer this week - 250 for linking your BPme account, 2500 for linking your ASB credit cards rewards, 250 for linking your Vine Online account.

I noticed you can also 'gift' points -

Edit: just downloaded the app on 2 phones and logged into 2 accounts and gifted points from one to another - now i have a $15 voucher!

    • Nice, how do you gift points?

      • +4

Needs to be done via a browser. Account > Rewards Choice.
Can’t see a way to do it on the app…

    • worked a charm. Thanks

    • Did the same. Realised I also had 1000 points on my Countdown account that got converted over. Got $30 now!

    • I knew someone who did this multiple times and basically got $1000s in vouchers

      • I know someone who got 3k

  • +5

I didn't get the points because I downloaded the app beforehand, without going through the website first.

You'll probably need to login to the website via your browser (via link from Cheapies), and in the intro/tutorial pop-ups (do not skip or close!) it will eventually prompt you to download the app and add 1000 points, with the App Store/Google Play link icons. Download the app from there.

Thanks for the head up, i updated the app but unable to login, after I saw your comment i just clear caches & uninstalled it and followed all your steps and got the 1000pts instantly. Maybe you can try uninstall and redo it all over again?

Edit: I seem to confused the Everyday Rewards app with the Mycountdown/Woolworths NZ app, so I have never install the Rewards app before this. Guess it's still worth to try uninstall and download the app from the link share by KiwiHunts4CheapDeals below

      • Thanks for pointing this out, I was also thinking of the wrong app but have the points now

Has anyone been able to link their BPme app to their Everyday Rewards account? There doesn't seem to be a way to do it

    • +2

Here's the instructions to do so, but none of the options are appearing on my app

I have an Everyday Rewards card, can I use this in BPme?

To use Everyday Rewards in BPme, you need to link your Everyday Rewards account. Any time your card changes, BPme will automatically be updated. To get started, tap ‘link Everyday Rewards’ from the BPme home screen. Or, go to the Menu, tap ‘Everyday Rewards’ and follow the on screen prompts.

Thanks. Glad it's not just me

    • +1

Go to BPme app on your phone, bottom left menu, everyday rewards.

      • They've updated it, option wasn't there this morning

  • +1

How do you link to BP?

    • +2

Go to BPme app on your phone, bottom left menu, everyday rewards.

      • No such option for me yet. Guess I’ll need to wait

        • +1

It's come up for me about 90 mins later :)

          • @ladidah: I still don’t have it (on iOS) 🙃

            • @simch: Have you updated the app? Just did so and now its there (also on home screen)

              • @Martz5: It’s on my Home Screen now 😅

  • from the T &C's: but I didn't get the 1000 points either..

Got the points. Took like 5 minutes for it to show up.

There's an option in the bpme app on the rewards tab that says link to everyday rewards for 250 bonus points but it's not active as I can't click on it.

    • I have the same trouble with the BP app.

    • Same here

  • +1

Thanks - the app also has an offer for 20c/L off at your first fill at BP (up to 17th of March)

    • +1

      Cheapest BP in CHC Bush In 2.649 - 0.2 = 2.449

  • what is the monetary value of 1000 points?

    • +4

$7.50. You need 2000 points to get the $15 reward.

  • +1

Plus double points with all purchases, until Feb 4

    • +1

Remember you have to activate this BEFORE shopping by clicking 'BOOST' on this deal in the app

  • Hi if log out off all accounts, delete app and redo points should come through , did for me for both accounts

  • +6

Thanks! Got 1000pts instantly upon login on app.

Here are the steps I used:
    1. Sign up an account on the website (for new users)
    2. Visit this page to download the app : https://www.everydayrewards.co.nz/app
    3. Login on the app

  • Anyone try with the Vineonline and got 250pts?

    • +1

My Vine Online account still says Onecard Number 😅 doesn’t appear that all parties were aligned on the same project timeline

      • Same here, have you try with the Everyday rewards number and see does it works?

        • Yep entered but nothing so far. Probably not a real time refresh

        • Vine online have now removed the onecard field 👀

  • +2

The big improvement with the new app is the "Activity" tab - you can actually see not only what points you got but how you got them

  • My onecard points haven't been transferred when I logged into everyday rewards. Anybody else experiencing this?

  • Thanks OP! Got 1000 points instantly upon login on the app with my previous OneCrad account.

  • Does anyone know if you are you able to link up two cards for the same household to pool points? Or would you just get people to log into the same account from their own phones?

    • No you can't link two cards. Not sure about multi log ins but it'll be better to just make a second account as you can gift points anyway. Plus if you have 2x accounts you could use the boots twice if wanted to and get 2x offers.

  • How to actually use the $15 discount tho?

    • +2

If it's like the current system. Go into store, take items to checkout, scan card, then it'll prompt you at self checkout to ask if you want to use your $15 reward or if you're not at self checkout then just tell the cashier you want to use it.

  • +4

Thanks OP and everyone! Got 1000 points for downloading and signing into the app, 250 points for linking BPme, and potentially another 250 points for linking Vine Online (the last one won’t be posted until the end of promotion).

    Here’s how I did it:

(As a precaution, I temporarily disabled all the ad-blockers and DNS filters etc on my computer and mobile phone.)

    —-

    (a) 1000 points from Everyday Rewards (not sure if the first two steps are necessary):

    • Sign into everydayrewards.co.nz using my Countdown (Woolworths) login
    • Go through the pop-up tutorial until the last page showing “1000 points for downloading the app” etc
    • On my phone: go to the App Store, search for and download Everyday Rewards
    • Sign into the app (choose New Zealand and then sign in using Countdown/Woolworths login)

The 1000 points were posted almost instantly (I had to manually refresh the app to be able to see it – same on the web).

Not sure if the first two steps are really necessary – other people mentioned them so I went through these steps anyway, although I suspect it would still work if you just log into the app.

    —-

    (b) 250 points for linking BPme – this one is tricky:

    • Download the BPme app on your phone, sign in or create a new account (if you don’t have one)
    • On the BPme app, click on the first icon on the bottom left to open the menu (on iOS – hope Android would be the same)
    • Choose “Everyday Rewards” and tick the box to agree to the T&Cs etc

It will open up the browser on your phone, and here’s where it got tricky for me:

    • I was directed to everydayrewards.co.nz to sign into my Countdown/Woolworths account
    • Then I was redirected to a webpage that simply pointed to the BPme app on the App Store. Not sure what went wrong.
    • I went back to the BPme app, repeated the same process again.
    • On the second try, after several redirections, I landed on a page that showed an error message “Failed to link Everyday Rewards” etc.

However, when I immediately checked back the BPme app and the Everyday Rewards app, the account was already linked and the 250 points were already posted (!).

Good luck and hope it works for you :)

    (c) 250 points for linking Vine Online

    —-

    (d) linking ASB credit cards

    • You’ll need to have an ASB True Rewards credit card (I used to, but not anymore).
    • Then you can link your account and change your reward program from ASB True Rewards to Everyday Rewards.

On a quick look, the terms seem to be pretty good – not sure if it’s worthwhile to open an ASB credit card and charge all my grocery shopping on it?

    —-

Anyway, hope these would be helpful :)

    [The End]

    —-
    • (c) 250 points for linking Vine Online - Just follow the instructions on everydayrewards.co.nz/partners/vineonline
"Step 2 — Link your Everyday Rewards account
Go to your profile, enter your Everyday Rewards card number and hit “Update” to link your Everyday Rewards account."

could you actually add your number? I don't have that option, just a "Connect Everyday Rewards Account" button, which either gives a "{"status":400,"data":""}" message or just shows a loading icon for ages until I stop it.

      • Tried again and it worked: log into Vine Online -> My Account -> My Profile -> Everyday Rewards or simply use this link https://www.vineonline.co.nz/account#/everyday-rewards, and then click on Connect Everyday Rewards Account.

The webpage redirects to everydayrewards.co.nz (log in if you haven’t) to fetch your detail, and then your Everyday Rewards Number should show up right away under your Vine Online account.

Hope it works, or perhaps try a different browser if it doesn't?

        • Mine worked a few days ago, clicked the link, didn't seem to work, refresehed and it had worked.

    • Currently on ASB True Rewards Visa Platinum Rewards earning at $1/$100 means $4000 spend = $40 reward? ($1000=>$10)?
      With Everyday rewards spending $4000 = 4000 everydayrewards points = $30 reward? ($1000=>$7.50)
Better value????? Doesn't look like it unless spending $1000 or less per month unless my calculation is wrong
      ?

      • Hi mikechr, based on their webiste, you’ll earn double Everyday Rewards points when you use your ASB credit card at Woolworths or BP, so spending $4000 with Visa Platinum at Woolworths or BP should earn you 8000 Everyday Rewards points = $60 reward vouchers, more than what you would earn with True Rewards.

The regular ASB rewards card (not Platinum) has a lower earn rate, but still earns 2x at Woolworths or BP, plus 2000 bonus Everyday Rewards points every 6 months (not available for Platinum).

Either way, I guess it’s more suitable for those who spend a lot at Woolworths or BP.

I haven’t made my decision yet – I’m currently on ASB Visa Light, and not sure if I should apply to change it to one of the Rewards cards (there's a bonus before March 31 to link it with Everyday Rewards).

        • I took it to mean earning from the supermarket and earning from the card.

    • Updates:

      (1) The BPme app has been updated since I posted my comment, which hopefully should have solved some of the problems.

      (2) It works now on VineOnline to link Everyday Rewards. See their instructions: https://www.vineonline.co.nz/everydayrewards

    no healthy upstream

The signup page is getting Cheapied

    • +1

      {
      "status": 400,
      "data": ""
      }

Yep, this is what I get :)

  • If I link to BPMe then does the eventual voucher of $15 have to be used there? Not sure if it is switchable from BP to Woollies once linked?

    • +1

Should be able to be spent in either stores, based on what I'm seeing in the app

  • +9

    Don't abuse it… Don't abuse it…
Ugh, the temptation of free money from a company that gauged everyone so much they had an extra $600 million to undo their 2007 re-brand…

    • I'm sharing it everywhere I can in the hope they get inundated.

    • +1

Oh yeah and they said the re-branding was at no cost to the customer ? Really ? Wonder where they got $400 Million free dollars then ?

  • +1

The site/app is being absolutely smashed, but after showing multiple errors and server faults the bonus 1000 is showing. Thanks for the post.

  • The Woolworths website/app has been down the whole day for me. Can't place/edit online orders.

  • +1

Not getting the bonus trigger on the site, and of course nobody's available on chat apart from an annoyingly-breezy cartoon orange.

  • Getting server error now in the app. Woolworths app showing incorrect points. Must be a rough go-live day.

  • Thanks got 1250 points. Very straight forward.

  • Inb4 servers slammed by the 5pm rush.

Free food! Thanks OP and Woolworths! Happy rodents here.

  • Anyone successfully linked it with ASB True Rewards? I've done it but the 2500 points have yet to appear…

    • The 2,500 bonus Everyday Rewards points will be paid by 14th of June 2024.

  • Didn’t get points & now app showing server error. Anyone else having same issue?

    • Yes still getting server error since 2pm today

    • Try clear storage & cache + force stop and restart the app. I'm able to use the app normally now but the BP points wasn't update. (BP app already have 250pts show up)

  • Thanks to OP and to all other commenters. I got 1,250

  • $15 and $15 used, and got another $15
I also got a boost to buy Macro Free Range Chicken to collect 550 points and Kapiti Ice Cream to collect 250 points. Also they can be used 3 times each. Looks like targeted.

    • How exactly is this claimed at BP? Will it be via the app only or by scanning the everyday rewards card?

      • Sorry I haven't used in BP yet. only in countdown today.

  • Has anyone been able to link it to BPMe to get the 250 points? I have the option in the BP app and it just tries to load something but doesn't go anywhere to link it.

    • You have to have the same phone number and email address at both accounts. When it 'tries to load something' it searches for a match. It can't link if there's no match.

      • Thanks for the reply. I've double checked and both are registered with the same email and phone number (I don't have different ones to use anyway) but it still hasn't worked.

Edit: Have updated the BPMe app and it's now worked.

    • Yes it worked straight away for me.
I clicked the option to link it in the BP App and as soon as I went back to the Rewards Apo the 250 points were added.

    • Mine was doing that until I updated the app, then it worked quickly and I got the points.

    • Mine one was linked (doesn't need to sign in with email) but points doesn't update on both app (Rewards & BP)

      • Anyone know how to contact them regarding this? I tried the live chat but keep getting this message :
"Apologies, I’m having trouble connecting you with someone from our team. Please try again later."

    • There was an update to the BPme app last week, which seemed to have solved a few problems.

You don’t need to use the same email address – I had two different emails for Everyday Rewards and BP, and still earned the bonus points (even though BP showed an error message – see my previous comment).

Edit: another user reports that BP will link the account based on your phone number, not the email address. I think I did have the same phone number for both.

      • I think they use the same phone number to link them because they didn't prompt me to sign in when i do that, if you have 2 everyday rewards account with same phone number they will randomly select one.

        • Yep, just saw your comment and edited my response :)

  • +1

    1000 points added, thanks OP.

  • Anyone else not getting the bonus 1000points?

    • I am also not. Have tried uninstalling, reinstalling, clearing cache and data, all steps I can see in this thread.

      • Did you login to the app? I got mine after logging in just now.

        • +1

User error, i was using the wrong app (login into the countdown app not everyday rewards)

thank you for pointing out the link and i have now received the bonus 1000pt

        • Of course. Looks like it's just me not getting any points. Have tried creating a new account as well as logging in to old account used for countdown, no bonus points on either.

          • @Rubenite: delete the app and install it again after 10s

            • @deadfish: Thank you - somehow this worked!! Seriously though this was about my tenth time deleting and reinstalling the app.

    • Use this link , have works for me on 3 accounts https://www.cheapies.nz/comment/213211/redir

  • +1

For BP Me, if you get the never ending loop. Make sure you update the BP Me app then link it. Went first try after updating the BP Me app.

    • Thanks that has sorted it for me too.

  • Anyone linked your BP using Android phone? It doesn't prompt me to sign in my Everyday Rewards account upon linking (just linked straight away after I clicked). What happened to me is I have 2 countdown account, both using the same phone number (different email), when I tried to linked my BPme to the 1st account (both Rewards & BP signed in with the same email) it linked the 2nd account instead. So I assume it use phone number to process the link but I don't know how it decide between 2?
