Thanks bigcheese, just got me a bottle from mitre10
Is the label on the mitre10 bottle different from what is on the supercheap auto website ?
Nope it's the same
I can never get one from Mitre 10. always they hide the oil.
Try an online price match.
Am I able to use Mitre 10's Price Guarantee for purchases from www.mitre10.co.nz?

thank you Bigcheese, that makes a lot easier…
Nice tip!
How are you using this, I've tried on a couple of different laptops now, filling out and hitting the Request Now button is doing nothing for me?
@thermonuclear: If it worked you should get an email confirming your request from <[email protected]>, and a follow-up email later.
@thermonuclear: I had the same issue in Firefox. Had to switch to Edge for it to work.
Me too lol
Thanks OP. Waiting for this Engine Oil for months.
Be aware this is much older API SL spec oil.
So, not as good as a later formulation then? Do you have a recommendation for a better alternative?
Be interested to hear what you had to say about it as I don't know much about the how/whys.
But SL spec is the 2000s right, meaning if your car is from 2000-2010 then you are fine (or better even) on SL spec
But if your car was from 2010 or newer then you'd be better off with API SM/N spec?
That is my understanding, yes.
This is the page that got me up to speed:
https://penriteoil.com.au/knowledge-centre/Specifications/19…
Fortunately I have a car from 1991 that I can use older spec oil with, however my other petrol car is a 2011 so I need to look out for SN or newer.
Picked up a couple, a happy lubed up rodent here!
Not sure why but the gal at the counter rang them up $46.32 each
Took awhile at M10 Takanini for them to confirm the product.
Looks like Castrol has rolled out a new label that's got green on it and is called 'Hyspec' which is what M10 had on the shelf.
Barcode is the same on the old label vs the new, but that was the only way the person at the info desk confirmed they were both the same.
I noticed that as well in upperhutt, fortunately there was 1 left of the old label behind the new one.
No issues price matching, didnt need approval or anything.
Makes for a cheap oil change
Hi just a question. Is it good to use this on a 2nd gen honda car? I have a 2012 fit and supercheap website shows does not fit however castrol site says it does fit. Which one should I follow?
Woohoo jumped onto this at Mitre10 with price match $48.02 each. I got a 2 bottles. And of course in true CHEAPIE style I'd won a Mitre10 Gift card so even better……………..FREE !!!
Finally it's back! Thank you!
