Looking To Build Or Buy New PC

i have $700 on paypal and $1502 on mightyape

pc i have now i built back in 2018 for cheap using money i got from surveys

ryzen 5 2400g
256gb ssd
256gb nvme
2x8gb 3200mhz ram

this still runs most game i play decent thanks to DLSS and fortnite in predominance mode at 1080p low setting high view distance 100% 3D Scale runs really well

so i don't really see a need to get a new pc but i have this money and gift card i would really like to spend

    You could put in a newer amd am4 cpu, get some extra ram and maybe upgrade your gpu for what funds you have, instead of a new build.

      i was thinking about doing this but since the system is like almost 6 years old at this point and theCrystalDiskMark says my my ssd is at 65% health
      i think rather then upgrading components its better to build a whole new pc

      oh and i also have 125aud on amazon so i will get a nvme off there

        I'd agree with Fox419

        Something like a 4070 and an extra 2x 8GB sticks of RAM (assuming your current stuff is fast/good enough) from Mightyape would use up most of your money from there.
        Then use the rest of your paypal money to get something like a Ryzen 5800X3D

        Its likely that most of your other hardware can be reused to save money and you'd end up with a very decent pc

        Because you have money in a mixture of places, your best bang for buck will be upgrading components when you see deals. Use mightyape for big ticket items such as gpu, let's you be more efficient with your PayPal and amazon.

        The am4 platform is still good and not worth the extra expense going off it imo.

    rx7800xt is within your budget if you upgrade CPU on the am4 plaftorm as has been suggested. you will also need a new psu..
